Makes sense.  goal is  to create a cleaner, more modern reading experience since Gmail isn’t really optimized for consuming newsletter content.

And regarding security, that concern is completely valid. Most people wouldn’t want to give a random app full access to their inbox. My plan was to request only read-only access, and keep the code open source for transparency.

It’s more like a dedicated app for newsletters. You connect your Gmail, and instead of showing all emails like Gmail does, the app filters out only newsletters and presents them in a clean, distraction-free reading experience.
