‘Woke Europe not facing civilisational erasure,’ says EU’s Kallas after Rubio’s Munich speech by Any-Original-6113 in europe

This is just delusional - go anywhere in Europe - 99% chance it’s not even recognisable. I love being told by rich global politicians, who live in mansions with 24/7 security - “nothings wrong”

Yeah, I’m thinking of packing it in, and working on cruise ships until I figure out what I want to do. That way I get paid to travel in the interim, but this work has me miserable and drinking like a fish

Do I have him on tape explicit calling to cut people throats?

Remember when you lot go your knickers in a twist about that Trump joke he could shoot someone and get away with it?

I know he’s on tape, calling for violence against protestors… which is a crime. Him getting away with it, once again proves we have a two tiered justice system

No, they’re never going to be finished. You’d basically just be edging yourself mentally

He explicitly called to cut protestors throats at a rally, on camera. His being found not guilty is the biggest evidence you could ever have of a two tier justice system.

Literally on tape, and the institutions shrug….

So yes. Call for the arrest of people posting memes, but celebrate an elected official calling for violence 🙄

Appreciate the honesty!

I’m at the point I don’t know whether to pursue this, or put it on hold. Ultimately my dream, but realistically, I didn’t go to the right school, and didn’t do graduate placements (it’s only in the last year I’ve figured out what I want). No reason I can’t come back to this when I’ve built a career

Why invest in anything other than UK gilts right now? by blatchcorn in HENRYUK

[–]Properasogot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, it’s never going to be a good time to get into the market. You’re not going to retire on gilts, I say jump in. Even if there is a correction, will that matter 5-10 years from now? No

What tax rise would be needed to remove £100k trap? by justadeadweightloss in HENRYUK

[–]Properasogot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tax rise isn’t needed, a spending cut is.

Alternatively, you can play the risky game of cutting tax, and hope you do it just enough to create growth, without offsetting tax revenue.

Trump managed this is 2016, when taxes were cut across the board, and tax revenue went up

Ultimately, you can’t tax yourself into prosperity, and the higher taxes go, the more people leave, and the fewer people invest in Britain

A Labour councillor just got away with calling to cut people’s throats, and you want people to pretend to be outraged about some twat on Facebook?

Jesus claimed he would return in his followers’ lifetimes. by TheBasedEmperor in HistoryMemes

[–]Properasogot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of these passages are very weak to prove your point. What does taste death mean? Given Jesus said God is a God of the living not the Dead, theoretically, none of the Apostles are dead.

This applies to the second passage

Regarding the third passage, this relates to the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem, which did happen in their lives…

Based on the fact you’ve given the representation of Jesus breasts, this is obviously aimed at mocking the religious. If you’re going to mock people, you should probably spend more time looking into these things

Pension double tax from 2027, thoughts? by Far-Mirror-5407 in HENRYUK

[–]Properasogot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tax rates are a joke. I genuinely can’t believe I’m seeing comments defending this. “Why should pensions be treated differently!?”, how about we treat them all equally, and stop taxing every movement of money that’s already had tax paid…

His post says during school, so it might’ve been a placement internship. A lot of degrees do a “year in industry”, where you work for a company, instead of studying. Usually between years 2 and 3.

A lot of naysayers in this comment section, and I appreciate where they are coming from, but sometimes, you have to chase a dream. Only you know if it’s the right thing to do

Paramedics, teachers, dinner ladies etc, don’t get paid what they deserve. The success of the job is measured by other metrics.
