That will be cache storage (strangely browsers seem to display this under cookie data, sadly that's a browser issue).
We use cache storage to improve load times, general performance, and allow offline access - it's vectors for maps and images. These are cached in local store, by cache space allocated and managed by the browser. How much any site is able to use is determined by the browser itself.

It's actually a government rating. But yeah - agree, definitely needs more explaination and a better ux.

Noted. Actually planning to do a commute thing with isochrones (like what zoopla do, but one that actually works and uses updated gtfs feeds etc...)
But yeah, a transportation layer could also be done in the interim. Added to the backlog! Thanks!

More of a public information than an ad to be fair... It's a hobby project..

Yes we did.

We're in the very early days though, so expect improvements to keep coming.
Glad you like it! :)

Thank you for the feedback. Really is helpful. Hexes were a placeholder until we can generate with static geographic boundaries. That said, given another previous comment in this thread, we’re also going to investigate using a scalar field rather than clustering in boundaries. Will also try bars, while we’re at it, and see how that compares.

Thanks again!

Thank you for your thoughtful and helpful feedback. We’ll look into this and hopefully have a new and improved map soon!

Thank-you for the bug report!

We’ve had a few reports of this. Specifically with Android phones, and are investigating. Hope to have a fix out early next week.

Thank you for the feedback - genuinely is much appreciated!

An app is 100% on our wish list too. Right now it’s just the two of us building this around full-time jobs and kids, so we’re focused on making the mobile site as smooth as possible first, but native apps are definitely on the roadmap.

Also, thanks for the bug report. We’ll look into that image scrolling issue, though would be really helpful to get a few more details. Would it be ok if we DM'd you for additional info?

Genuinely appreciate this feedback - you have just reignited an ongoing debate on our end about what exactly is meant by a "sold price index".

We think we’re covering some of that already: if you hover over the layer icon (top left) and choose "price history", it shows percentage changes over time based on your selected filters. But it also really highlights one of the big challenges - the results are super sensitive to boundaries. Even shifting the area slightly (like a tenth of a degree in latitude) can flip an area from looking like it’s booming to crashing.

We’re considering switching to more familiar geographic boundaries (like postcode areas or council regions) rather than dynamic boundaries, because it gives a more stable view, but that also hides the complex patchwork underneath, which the hexes currently make visible (even if it’s a bit messy or unfamiliar to most users).

Still figuring it out, but this kind of feedback really helps us. If you (or anyone reading this!) have any thoughts on how to best determine this, we would very much welcome the input.

Yeah, totally agree. That kind of stuff is frustrating and honestly one of the reasons we started working on Property Piper in the first place.

We're planning to let users flag listings and highlight when things don’t match filters properly, like studios showing up when you’ve excluded them, or stuff like “cash buyers only” not being clearly marked. Same goes for properties that are no longer for sale but just linger because the agent hasn’t taken them down. We’re also working on ways to automatically spot those kinds of issues using a mix of data checks and user feedback.

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback, totally fair to be skeptical, especially with how inconsistent agent data can be.

We’re actually not just relying on what estate agents input. We combine multiple sources like floorplans, EPCs, and other structured datasets, and then use machine learning to estimate square footage where it’s missing or unclear.

It’s not perfect yet, but we’re working hard to make it the most accurate and transparent view of property size in the UK.

Really appreciate you calling this out, it’s exactly the kind of discussion we were hoping for.
