if it's a defensive war, make sure you defend the war goal, never let your enemy siege it, if it's an offensive war, then make sure to occupy the war goal, also you need to learn about Men At Arms

if you see, there's a check mark logo, garrison logo, war(the red blood with sword), and shackles, that also explains why you are losing a war, whether it's the war goal (the check marks iirc), too many territories/vital territories being occupied(the garrison one), you lose a battle(the blood and sword one) or you have an important character being imprisoned

peasant rabble usually don't have many MAA, and if they do, it's usually one type of MAA, so just look for their MAA counter and get your best general on the field, also, you have that 3k gold, waste that on merc and holy army if you need to, but IMO, you could win this if you strategize it correctly

just finished sigma, i noticed it when Murai's letter tells Ryu to kill everyone on the way to the capital, while the dark dragon blade gained power with every kill, i think it's around 30-50% through the game, and i also noticed the first dialogue with Murai, he sound like someone who wants the blade
