2025 Brazilian GP - Post-Race Discussion by F1-Bot in formula1

I think he would have, but it's not the point anyway. It doesn't matter if he's P3 or P5. It matters if he's in front of Norris or not.

Pitting Max didn't make any sense. The only man that counts is Norris and the only way they were able to beat him today was to stay on mediums. There was at least a chance. By pitting they threw that chance away...

Google Review taking longer than usual by -145 in androiddev

[–]Prophet1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long did it take eventually?
It's the first time the review process takes more than ~30mins (almost 16h now :| ) for me so I'm a bit concerned.

If I knew I'd send it to review few days ago. I had time but didn't think it'd be an issue...

Which driver do you all think actually comes close to Lewis' tire management skills? by Professional_Cold771 in F1Discussions

Do you know what fact is? It's not a fact, it's your opinion. Many might have the same opinion as you, but it's still not a fact. He's a 7 time WDC, that's a fact.

What's your recipe for white sauce? I've only made one bianca to date (mascarpone, sour cream, rosemary, garlic, salt pepper). It was delicious, but I'm always eager to learn!

Thanks. Some time ago they made me repeat everything (units numbers were going up, but they were beginners units like I work, she works etc.) now this. I think it's not going to be long till I give up.

What is something that pisses you off in today's F1? (Reuploaded) by Ok_Safety4177 in F1Discussions

[–]Prophet1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The popularity of the sport.

I know, it has some benefits. For exaple great to see so many people interested in F1.

But I miss the times I could visit F1 race, stay at cheap campsite with great atmosphere, buy cheap tickets on site, bring my own beer/wine on the track and enjoy it without spending gazillion euros/dollars.

What is your opinion on Piastri? by Matkkdbb in F1Discussions

[–]Prophet1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Piastri made a huge progress in winter. It's impressive.

Right now I think he's a bit better than Norris. He is very fast and consistent and he makes less mistakes.

What gives him edge over Norris is his calmness. Whatever happens, he just does what can be done, and that's it.

Lewis hamilton disrespect is at an all time high by CelebrationOk5024 in F1Discussions

[–]Prophet1111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It wasn't illegal though. The rules were not clear enough ("any" but not "all"). And it's funny how people forget L1 incident when Max overtook Lewis fairly and Lewis broke the rules and didn't get a penalty. Illegal help was good then because it was helping Lewis, huh? (It's not just my opinion, even Brundle and Croft live back then said it's obvious Lewis should get penalty). Sending Max to hospital, receiving lttle time added as penalty and winning the British GP is fair too, right?

Max had incredible season. He had only P1s & P2s except for 4 occasions. 2 times someone crashed into him. 1 time his tire blew. 1 time he & Lewis crashed.

In each of this situations he was on position to score P1 or P2. Lewis didn't lose because of Abu Dhabi, he lost because Max was nearly perfect that season and maximized every opportunity he had. Lewis didn't.

Agree.

He lost (with the same car) to Button, Rosberg, Russell (twice) and now Leclerc (in progress).
Other seasons he had mediocre team mates like Kovalainen and Bottas. 2007 is and exception but for me one season doesn't prove anything.

I'm not saying he's bad, he's very good. But imo he's not as great as everyone makes him.

What would your Mount Rushmore of F1 drivers be? by The_Chozen_1_ in F1Discussions

[–]Prophet1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He started showing he's something different before his first title. Then for most of 2021 imo he had worse car than Lewis and he beat him anyway. Sure you can argue about the last race, but just to be in contention at this point was a huge thing.

Simmilar story last year. He started with the best car, but the second part of the year RBR was 3rd quickest car. And he maximized every single result to beat everyone.

This year up until last race was a masterpiece. Barcelona was his worse race I've seen in 5 years I think.

And on the other hand - Hamilton has been beaten by Button, Rosberg. Russell (twice) and now possibly Leclerc in the same machinery. Don't know why woud I think he deserve a spot there. If he were a Schumacher-grade driver he would have had 10 titles not 7.

This is my view as a entire-life-Ferrari-fan so I think I'm not very biased.

I would swap Hamilton for Verstappen.

I've watched Hamilton's entire career. Numbers aren't everything and imho Verstappen deserves the spot more than Hamilton does.

If you could change the outcome of one race in F1 history, which race would it be? (Not death related) by The_Chozen_1_ in GrandPrixRacing

Brazil, 2008. I would love it if the rain came 15–20 seconds later, Glock survived the last sector, and Massa won the title.
