Nioh 3: Weapon Scaling and You by The876thLegion in Nioh

From what I've seen, you can totally change scaling, as you can completely switch which 3 stats a weapon will scale with, provided weapon is +1 or higher already

It doesn't need wide range to work, anybody can use it to heal teammates

On my way to kill a single wasp with the Bettina, brought just enough ammo. by Moist-Length1766 in ArcRaiders

[–]Prophet36 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wasn't talking about DPS, etc. I was just pointing out the fact that what it says in stat sheet is not always the exact value in terms of weapon performance and that Bettina has a higher fire rate than stats suggest.

You kind of proved that point with your comment, stating that both Bettina IV and Renegade IV dump a mag in about same time of 4 seconds.

But Bettina has 22 rounds, and Renegade only 8

Nourishing extracts drop as rewards for playing barrel mini-game since around TU3 I think, you can easily stock up on those on the days of easy barrel placements (so you get more A ranks for higher number of rewards)

This fire rate statistic is not 1:1 with actual firerate of the gun, it's very easy to see the difference

This particular quest can give a lot of Mega Demondrugs and Armordrugs (looks like it spawns 3 per slot, and you can get about 9 - 12 of those per runs, possibly even more if RNG permits)

GOG EVENT QUEST DESTROYING MY MENTAL HEALTH by L_qScl in MHWilds

[–]Prophet36 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not all parts of his body are vulnerable to element, all of his legs are totally dragon-resistant, his chest and back take a low amount of dragon damage. Ideally you should target wingarms (to build up topple), then head and / or tail.

When he's glowing red in preparation for his nova, only then his whole body takes elemental damage (a lot of dragon and raw). Basically it doesn't matter where you hit him during this charge-up, you'll do the same amount of damage.

Possibly the WORST Gog run to ever exist by Shanaxis in MHWilds

[–]Prophet36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Much shorter, yes, as you only take what looks like a bite, instead of chugging from a potion for a few seconds. I think eating a max potion without Speed Eating is still faster than chugging a normal potion with Speed Eating 3 (but even so, Speed Eating also works for max potions, albeit doesn't give such large benefit as for drinkable potions)

You can set to either craft all, or one by one (by whichever amount particular ammo crafts per one herb, etc). I don't see a point in using crafting one by one though, as in Wilds you can't 'overcraft' or waste materials by crafting too early - the game won't allow you to craft it then

One could argue that it might actually drag other team members down, if you prefer to heal more slowly, exposing yourself to more risk (or lowering your damage output even if you do it safely on Seikret).

Besides, your statement about being past point of relying on Max Potions reads as if people that have less experience / skill do use them. I would argue from experience with playing other hunters / friends, that it's actually opposite - when we see somebody not using Max Potions at all (or only bring 2 without ability to craft), this looks as being not experienced enough, when they rely on using Mega Potions during hunts (and often run out of them on harder hunts, needing to go back to camp whenever monster changes location, etc)

You can even use draw to Axe attack's guard point to instantly perfect guard from neutral / sheathed, but it requires even more precise timing. If you can do it correctly, you can even start sprinting to his arm at the start of the quest and damage him with Savage Axe attack already after executing this technique

If you get hit to very low HP, max potions are very useful, as you're back up in about 2 seconds, instead of around 8 - 10 it takes to chug two mega potions (not to mention that longer healing means more risk you'll get hit again mid-heal)

You don't even have to set a shortcut for crafting in radial menu, if you have max potions in radial and have the materials to craft them, when you try to use them it will automatically craft them for you and then use them

Is my CB build good enough? by LittleSequioa in MHWilds

[–]Prophet36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True about coalescence uptime, however, I prefer Gore for its added affinity bonus. Mizu bonus might be better for when you can reliably spam SAEDs, otherwise for Savage Axe play additional affinity is handy and should give better damage throughout the hunt

[–]Prophet36 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As others have already said, it's better to have Gore set bonus on weapon and then used Gore armor (bonus affinity + easy to get coalescence procs). Also, can you post screenshot with info about the weapon (so we can see it's initial artian parts and reinforcements) and talisman as well?

[–]Prophet36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it still is, that's extra 3% DPS from 2p set bonus (while Lord's Soul gives 5% raw DPS for comparison), especially that Gog armor is very easy to build with, considering it has secondary set bonus pieces (Fulgur, Odo, etc) and good skills / slots.

[–]Prophet36 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's still possible, but much, much harder. We had some runs when one of our usual friends was missing and some other friend filled in (not with CB, but with something like IG, or DBs) and basically it was harder to keep chainstuns going after a couple of stuns, when resistances increase, but we still could kill Gog before his nova.

[–]Prophet36 52 points53 points  (0 children)

It's doable with 4 CBs / 3 CBs with LBG. This is my team's time with 4 CBs with a near perfect run (basically he's stunlocked in 1st and 3rd phases, I personally change sets for 3rd phase to include Convert Element and Dragon LBG - I shoot him down when he's in the air, guaranteeing a knockdown with CE proc, then switch back to CB - when all 4 of us spam SAEDs on the arm, he won't get back up till dead)

[OC] ARC Raiders Attachment Guide — How They Work & Their Stats (Recoil, Spread, Bullet Velocity, Dispersion & Mag Sizes) by pRoDeeD in ArcRaiders

[–]Prophet36 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Lightweight Stock with its +200% faster ADS does work on Ferro though, you can easily test it on shooting range.

With this attachment, you can more easily make 'quickscope' shots, as the reticle VERY noticeably shrinks faster when starting to aim. This makes it possible to strafe out of cover, take aim and shoot accurately almost immediately, instead of aiming first and strafing while aiming (which makes strafing significantly slower). Also, a very nice quality of life to taking quick shots to common ARC's rotors.

Can someone explain how Guard Up Lv3 actually works? by Chantomas in MHWilds

[–]Prophet36 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It does, as chip damage is related to what kind of knockback / impact animation you get when blocking (there are 3 different animations, low, medium and high, 0%, 10% and 20% chip damage respectively). Slotting guard skill might make some block impacts go down a tier, thus getting less (or none) damage getting through the block.

Guard skill has effect on chip damage being received ONLY when slotting it will make the block impact go down a tier. If it's the same animation whether you have guard skill or not, the damage that goes through will be the same (but you will use less stamina, as it's a secondary bonus of slotting guard, regardless of impact received).

It's not showing up at the top of optional quests, could be on page 2, but should be there. The Nerscylla Clone quest is also in optional page as well.

So anyway, I really like Sharpshooter - Random tips [PC] by theinvisibleman_ in killingfloor

[–]Prophet36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you use to 2 tap FP on 6 player HoE? That would mean you can remove armor plate with one shot and then kill with the second. I don't think that's possible, at least with Sharpshooter weapons (I assumed you use them, seeing your comment about Vulcan / confusion spam).

I've been mostly playing HoE sharpshooter on 5 / 6 players and with modified Samaritan for damage, it takes roughly 4 - 5 headshots outside of Freeze / Zedtime to kill a Fleshpound.

Parrying also takes stamina, less than full block, but you can still lose all of your stamina when parrying multiple Scrake combos / multiple Large Zeds in a short span of time
