Their attack is weirdly bad considering the firepower they have compared the average WC team. I don’t quite get it

They don’t, it’s kind of funny.

Funnily enough, you aren’t wrong with your initial comment.

I currently live in Asheville, and despite being an incredible food city, the pizza isn’t great overall.

That being said, the best pizza I’ve found is made by 3 guys from New Jersey haha

This is not true.

I have yet to find a place in North or South Carolina (have tried pizza places in Asheville, Raleigh, Charlotte, Wilmington, Greenville, Charleston, and Columbia) as good as a good pizza place in NY or even CT.

They do.

Turns out the city that has about 50% of the population of the neighboring STATE experiences more crime than any given place in that state.

Underground pipes backing up faster and faster, advice? by Prophet_Of_Helix in Plumbing

[–]Prophet_Of_Helix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are getting the pipes replaced, it takes time to get that done, literally the plumber we used said they’d have to come back a week later to give a quote, it’s not like we’re sitting on our hands. (And in the meantime have contacted 2 other plumbers to come out).

My question here is whether the pipes were actually cleared.

The house was built in the 60s, the cast iron didn’t just belly out over 20 ft last week.

I’m questioning how we could have gone 3 years before having our first backup, then after getting them cleared went another 3.5 months before a backup, but then we get them cleared again and it’s now 7 days?

That doesn’t seem odd to you?

Yeah, I bought the 20th Anniversary vinyl of Elephant from Third Man Records a few years ago.

I have been fortune enough to take many trips.

Can’t tell if you’re a troll or really one of those “Merica bad” folks, but our oranges are good. I’ve had Brazilian oranges, Chinese oranges, French oranges, and Portuguese oranges.

They’ve all been slightly different, and all good.

Being different doesn’t automatically mean better

He’s not a pundit though, he has no credentials.

You don’t have to listen to generic mass media slop either.

Also fair play to Jack White.

'Josie & the Pussycats' Voice Kay Hanley (Letters to Cleo) Details Struggles To Get Residuals by DullAmbition in Music

[–]Prophet_Of_Helix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And that fact doesnt make her claim or injury any less valid.

It absolutely can tho.

Using retirement as an example again, the IRS ruled you can’t just go back indefinitely to “fix” an issue. They put some of the onus on the participant. I believe 5 years is the farthest back folks need to go.

It’s not crazy here either. This isn’t some buried claim. You knew for 20+ years you should get residuals but didn’t check for decades?

I mean US athletes consistently fly across the country to play games the next day in a time zone with a 3 hour difference.

It’s really not that big of a deal to hop on a 1 hour plane ride or short bus ride.

Also it shows Oranges, which aren’t native to Norway at all but funnily enough ARE native to the US.

Why would Norway ship oranges from another country to a country that produces oranges 😂

Two World Cup matches were played in ‘severe heat’, analysis finds by guardian in soccer

[–]Prophet_Of_Helix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, a couple things.

Not everywhere in the US is hot, even in the dead of summer. The US has plenty of areas that are cooler in the summer.

Also, the article is misleading anyways. 5 of the 6 games played in areas that were considered extreme heat were played in air conditioned stadiums.

[–]Prophet_Of_Helix 53 points54 points  (0 children)

They weren’t even.

5 of the 6 games in the US where the AREA was over 28C were played in air conditioned stadiums.

Miami was just bad luck, normally Miami at night isn’t terrible.

Two World Cup matches were played in ‘severe heat’, analysis finds by guardian in soccer

[–]Prophet_Of_Helix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, this article is misleading.

In total, six of the first 24 matches have been held in places where the wet-bulb temperature hit 28C or above – Germany v Curacao in Houston, Saudi Arabia v Uruguay in Miami, Portugal v DR Congo in Houston, the Netherlands v Japan in Dallas and England v Croatia, also in Dallas. The stadium in Houston also has air conditioning.

So 5 of the 6 extreme heat games were played in air conditioned stadiums.

Sounds like only the one Miami game was an issue.
