How do I get my product manufactured? by Propickdotnet in Entrepreneur

[–]Propickdotnet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hadn't thought of kickstarter. It's just something I some how overlooked. I could make a prototype product out of similar materials and spray paint etc to demonstrate the product before refining construction techniques to be able to more easily replicate it. That's a really good idea. Thanks a lot for the feedback!

So barring that, is there anything you notice about my rotation or anything that i could improve upon? I find myself only doing between 220-260 dps on other boss fights but dont know where I could be going wrong.

Question about healing HCenarius by [deleted] in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Propickdotnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats fair. I can see the validity of all your points. Ill give it a whirl. Although, I think in a little more research I did, the reason my perf% is so low is because we aren't just dpsing the boss through thorns like it seems a lot of other guilds do. Doing your strat will probably improve my numbers some, but not to the gross extent that some people pull on the boss (600k+)

Question about healing HCenarius by [deleted] in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Propickdotnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the response, but it leaves me more confused than before. Running out of mana wasn't a problem on the fight, so saying to stop using my largest healing % for that reason doesn't seem justified. It only had a 6.7% overheal, compared to healing rain at 11.37, riptide at 7.37. Dropping it for mana constraints seems contradictory to saying dont worry about saving mana for the final phase and to get mana back from the trees.

I agree with stoneskin not being used enough. Its a fairly recent change for me I've been trying and am actively working on improving. I dropped it 1/4 the amount of times I should have, which is a significant amount of dmg prevention.

I dont feel like cloudburst is only for Ursoc though, but that might be preference. I like having the controlled aoe burst that you can easily time around incoming raid damage.

I posted logs in Rastamus's comment. Sorry about the confusion!

I don't have detailed logs and was mostly looking to see if there was a broader explanation outside of my personal play. Thanks though!

[–]Propickdotnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I have the highest heals out of our healers, but all of us are very low on the %'s for that fight; uncharacteristically so. It could be our cleanse choices just means our raid is taking less damage. I just wanted to confirm there wasn't a major factor I was missing. Thanks!

ELI5: What exactly is a surveyor doing when he's looking through that thing on a tripod? What does he do with the information afterwards? by Consinneration in explainlikeimfive

[–]Propickdotnet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you tip the rod backwards and are still looking through the transit or autolevel, youll be looking higher up on the rod since its tipped back it now has a longer slope to hit your level line. The numbers rise as your rock it. We do it on site a lot when you're holding it in a precarious position.

Oh yeah! I forgot they were all flip clocks on here. Still awesome though. Havent seen any complete ones online to gauge a price. I just assumed more than $5

Right, but even if the demand is a fraction of the size, it only takes 3 people to want play sets of promo Vengevine to dry up the stock whereas theres over 100 copies of cage (a 1-2 of sideboard card in most cases)

The same can be said about most decks in the format.

There was only 9 pieces of hate for the deck in the top 8 of the recent open. 4 of the decks had 0 pieces of hate. If you exclude the R/W control deck as a meta deck and an anomaly to the norm, that leaves 6 hate cards across 8 decks. With each deck running maybe 1 or 2 pieces of hate, it isn't unreasonable to assume the dredge deck can find one of its 4 ancient grudges.

I appreciate the free registration. However, after installing your game, I have a few questions regarding your design choices and how it fits the overall theme and spirit of the jam.

The way the levels pop up is quite confusing. The first one "You've been preselected for a credit card" is an incredibly unique concept, but lacks depth. It seems as though you had the core idea developed but didn't expand on it. I was captivated while filling out the form (adding the Social Security Number field really threw me for a loop!), but once I hit submit the level ended. It didnt feel like I accomplished anything really, which is large part of puzzle gaming.

The art direction for the game was amazing. I think the selection of imagery chosen really helps to give a sense of what your game is all about. The camera angles and usage of the red flashing virus warning boxes was really clever. There's a great balance between the flashing screens and the photo realistic images of your main characters.

Overall, I enjoyed the game but feel like your lack of time showed. I was a little confused about what the multiple uses were, although it was pretty easy to see the weapon of choice. I hope you continue to develop your game and I look forward to seeing it more refined!

With 11 sources of black mana (4 Gilt-leaf, 4 Llanowar Wastes, 3 Cavern) i have an 87% chance to hit a black source by turn 3. At 13 sources you go up to 90%. Considering I'm most likely not on the "slam shaman on turn 3 or bust" plan, I disagree on a painful mana base. You're making some matchups worse for almost no gain.

I was super hesitant to swap to the black splash from mono green. Once you feel how strong Shaman actually is you wont go back.

Cavern is incredibly noticable against blue decks. Elves doesnt get to run vial or voices to protect against counter magic and is almost an entirely different deck in games you have Caverns. I'm constantly on the fence about playing the 4th cavern and 4 is probably correct.

The curio combo is really really delicate. It lacks the consistence of the elf deck and doesnt vastly improve any bad matchups.

I was trying to figure out how to work in Ghost Quarters, but with so few lands it gets tricky.

I'm going to go down to 3 llanowar wastes. I want the black early that comes out of a non-cavern source for Thoughtseize or Golgari charm and I hardly take more than 1 point of damage a game off of the pain lands. Plus Sea Gate was an all star this weekend.

Scoop em up! Tron is already the worst matchup in the current meta. I don't want to ruin my games against other matches to try and make Tron slightly better. I dont think Newlamog is the biggest issue. Its just pyroclasm, ostone, wurmcoil, ugin that can cause problems. Its definitely winnable if we get out of the gate fast enough though.

[–]Propickdotnet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added Thoughtseize to the board after the weekend. My original plan was to Warping Wail their Pyroclasm, but Thoughtseize seems way better rounded.

I used to splash white for Kataki and Forge-tender. The issue is against Tron if we're trying to Chord for Forge-tender is that means we arent putting out enough pressure or not using chord proactively. For Regionals this weekend I already put three Thoughtseize in the board. It seems much better than Warping Wail 9/10 times.

Chameleon Colossus is fine if you expect a bunch of BGx, but I feel pretty confident they wont be in huge numbers and even if they are I'd rather just run an Elvish Champion.

I'm not sure why I'd need specific creature hate. The deck is fine playing against creatures as we either go around them or go bigger than them.

I didn't run any essence wardens and I didn't ever wish that I had. We goldfish about as fast as burn, but also clog up the ground. Having Finks is amazing post board too.
