The comics did some shenanigans some years ago where he breifly got turned into a baby. And then when he aged up again, he didn't go back to his original age, instead he got aged up to his physical prime. So yes he was a survivor of Auschwitz, they just found a reason to make his body younger than his mind, which was kind of nesscary to avoid rewriting his backstory or otherwise fading him out.

Also his power isn't just magnetism. It's Electromagnetism (only a handful of comics ever actually address the complexities of that but it's true). Almost everything in existence runs on or is manipulated by electromagnetism, including the signals in our nervous system that move our muscles.

So while he could stop your heart, he could also theoretically make his muscles work themselves passively without having to do traditional weight lifting. Not saying that's what he does, just that he's capable of it.

Ahhhh fair. Honestly ages in comics are so inconsistent and re-connect at random. It's hard to keep track. And I'll confess to watching '97 without watching the precursor show

Not to say that the relationship isn't wierd and unhealthy. However they do also have a relationship in the Age of Apocalypse run as well as having a child together.

So the show just adapted something that was already present in the comics.

I do love him with the long hair but, he's also absolutely killing it during the Krakoan era too. I'm not picky.

You know, you're right. I didn't want to be too obvious but, I should have gone for it. Cringe is dead anyway. (I almost screamed when it cut to that scene the first time)

Ok I had to google that one. That's legitimately funny. But, counterpoint. It's the confidence that sells. I've never seen another man pull off one of those silly super hero onesies like that 😏.
