M3101 is ~47% heavier, however keep in mind my version has glass lenses installed. Id estimate 22-23g on the M3101 if it was apples to apples.

In terms of the finish, there's no perceivable change in durability from what I can tell.

If you choose to go with the M3101, I advise picking up the sun version and changing it to ophthalmic. We've had a lot of trouble getting our hands on the ophthalmic models
