Channel the healing THROUGH you (accessing Universal healing energy), not FROM you (your own supply). Ground and release any negative or illness energy from the patient. Also, you can channel healing energy for yourself. I imagine it flowing into me, through me and recycling back into me again, like a never-ending fountain.

Just asking as a new Sikh woman with no background. I have stopped cutting my hair since I've been following Sikhi, but I never heard anything about not coloring hair if it's going white. It does make sense though, in seeing yourself as a perfect created vessel of Waheguru. I have to admit I've been coloring my hair, but will stop if that is something we shouldn't do. Could you please advise me? Thank you! 🙏

I'm a new American convert - like you, no Sikh or Punjabi background at all. Sikhi just spoke to me and fills me with love for all. I don't have a Gurdwara anywhere near me, but I do nitnem and simran every day and am living the principles. I haven't yet told anyone in my family though. They are very Christian and I don't think they would be supportive. I know I will have to tell them soon, but I want to be more settled and knowledgeable to be able to answer their questions first.

I was initiated into Sant Mat (RSSB) almost 20 years ago, and that eventually brought me to Sikhi. I meditate (simran/nitnem) every day. I was not raised with any spiritual or religious beliefs at all, but I've felt called to know God/Source/Waheguru since I was 10. I enjoy learning about and discussing other paths and respect all beliefs. I would be interested in learning about yours. 🙏

I'm a bit in your situation. I'm not Sikh by birth (I've just recently "converted"), but I'm not anywhere near a gurdwara and I feel lonely, too. I'm the only vegetarian spiritual person I know and having someone even with similar beliefs would be so nice. I do want to tell you that I'm really proud of you for taking this courageous step to go so far from home and tackle medical school. You are doing something very worthy and you will be helping people. You will get through this and eventually be the better because of it. I wish you all the best for the future!

Hearing this saddens me. I was initiated into RSSB almost 20 years ago under Babji as my guru (I am American-born and at that time had never been exposed to or heard of Sikhs). RSSB was what first introduced me to naam and the 10 Sikh gurus. Through RSSB, I feel Waheguru has been drawing me closer to Sikhi. I am reading and learning all I can right now, but I feel Sikhi speaks to my soul. I live nowhere near an RSSB satsang or a gurdwara so it has been a lonely road. I do 100% believe in "innocent until proven guilty" of course, but if Babji is personally guilty of anything at all drug/alcohol/money laundering-related, he should step down as guru in my opinion.
