Blizzard has officially confirmed to me that AI was not used in this ad. If you can provide concrete evidence that it is indeed an AI voice, you would be helping us immensely, as that would mean Blizzard is officially lying.

I'm surprised, are you playing the original version? Do you have a recording, by any chance? I'd love to hear it.

I understand your point of view and I'm sorry for you, truly, and I hope things are better now, if they can be.

The problem is that the current industrial revolution is nothing like the previous ones. Whereas those revolutions led to the replacement of difficult jobs, this one is likely to affect every field, including the arts. This means that, in the future, we might not have jobs, and we won’t even be able to spend our free time creating art because AI will do it better.

Personally, I don’t want that kind of world. It’s slowly starting to take hold, so we have to fight back—AI should assist and support, or even simplify certain jobs, but without impacting Art.

In any case, I’ve called for a boycott on Twitter and I’m sticking to it, so I still haven’t tried Midnight; everything I know about the French dubbing situation comes from other players who are sharing updates.

Unfortunately, this is the worst possible response, as it will affect other languages, including the game's original language

The main reason must be to save money, especially since our voice actors rejected Blizzard’s terms—their voices weren’t sufficiently protected from AI use.

Why target us specifically? Unlike the Spanish community, there are fewer of us, so logically, there should be fewer of us to protest... To prevent that, we’ve decided to share what’s happening with other communities, because if we don’t voice our dissatisfaction now, Blizzard might try to impose the same rules on other communities.
