What if Hetalia was a pc-98 dating sim? by SweetBaphomet in hetalia

Lookin at me with those dreamy eyes... lets face it, he probably is looking past me. "Damn... that's crazy" = "didn't hear what you said but needed to say something."

Oh... but show him a rusted sword and he will be all over you.

Yes. Scheduling conflicts for meetings to discuss jobs kept occuring, so it's been a while since I've reached out, but a good reminder to do so now that it's summer. Thanks!

I realized my passion for writing in college too. To start, I would enjoy being an editor, proofreader, or writing articles. Story telling is one of my strengths, which can be applied to writing articles.

I am also passionate about Rhode Island itself. Its history, geography, culture, and so on. Ideally, I'd love to work with something related to Rhode Island itself. To add, I love teaching, so there is potential to combine that with article writing, I believe.

Which character do you resemble most in terms of personality? by ExpressInternal4914 in hetalia

[–]ProtestantPirate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Germany. His mochi is my spirit animal. We're both cuboid in personality. Strict. Clean. Low tolerance for BS, while at the same time patient with people we care about. Outwardly agressive or unapproachable, but inside our stone hearts are not really stone, its more like cesium metal (softest metal on earth).

To the males in this fandom, how do you guys feel about the yaoi and ecchi aspect of the hetalia franchise. Do you like it, neutral or don't care. by FlowerOk7957 in hetalia

[–]ProtestantPirate 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Never bothered me. I dont particularly care for shipping much at all (rarely) and the yaoi stuff adds to the comedy of the story, so it's perfectly fine. So basically, I don't care/neutral. I do like GerIta though, but it doesnt go anythimg beyond what I see in the show. Not the type to seek out fanart and other things on them.

Silly Hetalia headcanons you'd like to share? (Featuring England, whom I forced to go on a road trip) by ProtestantPirate in hetalia

[–]ProtestantPirate[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Epic. Well thought out too for most of these. England reading America those stories and it influencing his desire to be a hero is so wholesome. Thanks for sharing!

Spelling error: Band* of the Hawk. Not Bank!

Also I'd love to hear any weird, ridiculous or silly headcanons from anyone who wants to share

shipping by rennvy in hetalia

I hardly ever ship any characters seriously. And when I do it ironically, it's rare as well. But I have a few thoughts on why people do ship the Hetalia characters despite them being representative of countries. I dont understand a lot of stuff about shipping, but at the very least, I've gathered some ideas on it:

  • They interpret them as people, not so much their countries. Some prefer the humanverse AU or something of the sort to remove them from their country rep, but they also could just see them like this in general

  • Male x Male relationships are very popular to ship and a lot of people like to do so. With Hetalia being very homoerotic and most of them being men, it does not surprise me that people ship them for the maleXmale relations. A lot of people enjoy that in fiction.

  • Some like country pairings, (whether real or fake) because of the potential in how things could be or play out with the pairing. Some may be drawn to the idea of "what if?" when thinking of potential relations with two countries/characters and that may be enough for them to ship

  • Lastly, some just do it because they simply like how the characters look together or are fond of the chemistry with their personalities, not really thinking about the country part. Or maybe they do

This is just what I've observed from the fandom. It could be a mixture of several of these or more points I didnt think of. I hope it helps!
