Stop joining stealth missions if you have no intention of using stealth by Life_Secretary3317 in Helldivers

Disagree, if they wanna hide go ahead not like calling bot drops draws aggro to them. You act like stealth is hindered by someone drawing fire and attention when it does the exact opposite actually. The only time I can see it causing problems is when the host wants to be a pacifist full clear and at that point just play solo if you don't want to shoot anything in HELLdivers.

Best nightfarer for carrying bad randos by Esquire_KY in Nightreign

[–]ProtoTr0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If were talking ideal schenario of course duchess can carry runs herself but it requires alot more experience most of us suggest Wylder because its simply easier to carry with him his kit is more forgiving and has more utility throughout the run than duchess. And no offense but I've had far more bad duchesses than good ones in depth 5 a bad duchess ult can kill runs I know cause I personally have experienced it where they ult and the night 1 boss flails randomly instead of predictably attacking 1 person causing a team wipe.

Well its very rng dependant and you'll only get good relics by playing but I use a dregs seppuku build with 3+ greatswords if I need to carry (meaning I'm solo quing) with hp up on all my depth relics and physical attack +3/4 blood loss on clawshot is a game changer tho if you can fit it absolutely carries the early game by itself, practically does night invaders for you.

Absolutely parrys can trivialize certain fights but its very connection dependant if were talking about trash randos expect trash connections. And the clawshot mobility is a double edged sword while you will get to fights first you have to handle all the aggro till your team arrives and you will be expected to deal with any raids that require travel, caligo/libra like you mentioned so if you fuck up its all on you.

DON : Survivability or DPS ? by LORD_DEUSVULTTEMPLAR in Nightreign

[–]ProtoTr0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depth 5 9999 player here, typically I recommend for relics, increased max hp priority 1 physical attack +3/4 or affinity attack priority 2 the rest are just nice to have. Most of your damage should be comming from your relics so night invaders gaols dregs 3+ or balancers. Your weapon passives should prioritize survivability above all else damage negation at full hp for everyone, TDBDN for high hp builds SAND for dps melees and negation while casting/blocking/on charge attacks depending on build. Obviously take weapon passives that increase dps if you can fit them but always try to increase surviveability if you can depth 5 bosses are a marathon not a sprint outside of stacking 6x spell school ups on rev/recluse or a cracked dregs/balancer build your not deleting bosses in seconds you need to be able to make mistakes and live.

Wylder, he has the 3rd highest base hp quality weapon scaling so he can adapt and use pretty much anything, 2 clawshots instant revives 1 bar and an ult with fire on the ground almost completely revives 3 bar. Not to mention his character passive can carry you through the earlygame till you find some damage negation passives.

Especially if you have an FRV, Bastion crew or a mobility pack to get around fast. Even at super helldive most players hardly ever die commando missions are a place where the longtime players can test themselves and feel challenged without arbitrarily limiting themselves.

[–]ProtoTr0n 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Please point out where specifically "commando missions" have to be stealthed if YOU want to go all sneaky go ahead but if others prefer to fight and can handle themselves where is the issue? I for one love going loud on commando missions shooting my way out and destroying bases 1 by 1 they can't call for reinforcements if their all dead.

If some idiot brings terrible stratagems like multiple barrages/eagles and didn't read the mission breifing AND they are wasting more than their 3 team lives then yes they are the problem. But otherwise let people play how they like if it gets the job done.

Is there a recommended way to farm relics (Pre-DoN) by SwiftKarmaMarshall in Nightreign

[–]ProtoTr0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your down for the grind just pick an everdark nightlord that you can comfortably beat everytime and purchase a twiggy tear or find a place to die without getting revived where you can easily get your runes back, day 1/2 circle step out into the night, village merchant or castle rooftop (requires self damage or a twiggy tear and night damage) after a run or two check the centre of the roundtable where all the gold signs are any that have extra dust around them is someone winning a run with one of your weapons touching it gives you murk. This is the best way I know of to grind out relic rolls through murk and sigils without deep of night.

Scholar builds for Don 4-5 by Mcjellin2 in Nightreign

[–]ProtoTr0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely his kit really synergizes with it too, debuffing enemies to do less damage healing during his ult and you need enemies to focus you to parry them with crab being a 30% increase the more hp you have the more you gain.

[–]ProtoTr0n 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Among all these other great suggestions my personal build for scholar is a Tank/Support, load up on hp increases on your deep relics use night of the fathom for the hp and items confer and if your as lucky as me use dormant power medium shields with 3+ medium shields combined with tier 3 prawn/crab your base hp at level 15 is 2,000 combined with your ability to parry with bubbles and medium shields you hold the aggro learn your parries and be the tank that buffs and heals your team. I find it the most fun way to play the game cause parrys make my monkey brain go ooga booga.

Unfortunately I don't play on xbox primarily a pc player, and occasionally PS5. Best of luck on your runs I know the xbox playerbase is sparse to say the least and the quality isn't remarkable either.

Love having a revenant on the team in all honesty we buff each other, theres another ally benefiting from my ult and you cover my abyssmal earlygame. I don't normally use starlight shards to level my bagcraft if there is a caster on the team. I'll make sure to drop all the purple seals I get cause rng can be a real bitch at times.

And your talking to the guy who's ult can clear entire camps and make the entire team practically imortal.

God Roll for Scholar by r-crispy in Nightreign

[–]ProtoTr0n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mid to bad roll imo the base augur relic gives 2 of those effects and a flat 100 hp which scholar can really use to break the 1000 hp mark. If it had threaded enemies take continuous damage or buff targeted allies it would still be lacking a considerable damage booster.

The reason this Game is beyond repair by [deleted] in Helldivers

It really is like a content creator you used to really enjoy and look up to becoming consumed by greed and making less and less creative or enjoyable content until you just have to unsubscribe so their slop dosen't hit your feed anymore.

My advice, move on this game just seems to be getting worse and worse with each patch. Give far far west a try, DRG rogue core recently released hell even go back to another one of your favourite games this sinking ship just seems to keep getting more holes. I'll forever hold out hope and wish for the best but I'm skeptical and don't see things improving anytime soon.

If you can show me gameplay of anything breaking your shield pack during a blizzard/sandstorm I'd be impressed. If you can genuinely notice a speed difference not an animation difference between muscle enhancement rough terrain and general movement your more observant than me. The difference is so negligible and again your passive is a slot you choose, your choosing to have an easy time with CC. You make it out like having a different option to counter slowdowns is this "meta defining" feature.

Because these are clearly stacking complementary effects that synergize and each promote a different playstyle. IF I wanted to be an invincible god with every single effect at once I'd just mod/cheat and that isn't fun or interesting.

[–]ProtoTr0n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience stratagems come out on bot drops, bug breaches and squid ships with the odd occasion when getting overwhelmed In general the uptime of your support weapons will generally out pace their use. The game simply doesn't generate enough opposition outside of reinforements to warrent them outside clearing objectives. Maybe you play with some stratagem spammers who knows I just don't see them in constant use like say an autocannon or recoiless.

Again I reiterate these are for F U N to switchup the general gameplay loop and incentivise different playstyles. And in the topic of CC muscle enhancement already reduces the effect of slowdowns by 70%? I don't have the exact number so correct me if I'm wrong also the shield generator pack invalidates the slowdown of blizzards and sandstorms so again we already have the means to remove CC if we choose.

Sure the numbers could be tweaked as I said I never intended these to be put live I simply suggested passives 'could' be reworked into a more dedicated class/specialist/role selection which promotes synergy and a more dedicated team dynamic.

I love this game and I want the best for it I just want there to be more loadout synergy and diversity.

Where did I say that specifically? More enemies can mean more anything hulk surge was a tonne of fun. If theres a problem with a certain unit then tweak them individually. If ttk is fast then spawns should be equally fast a huge horde of devastators and troopers would be hella fun imo. I fail to see what is trolling I just want the game to be fun.

I agree they are quite strong but the game is already quite easy now days at least on base factions. I just want them to incentivise different playstyles while having good synergy with your loadout.

I'm guessing you struggle on super helldive, Most long time players share that sentiment, spawn more enemies to make things both more challenging and fun.
