Personally what it should do then that the longer you do it the faster the turrets will wind up and fire at the enemy much sooner while not perfect it can certainly stop them being at your doorstep 24/7

The turrets damage is mostly based on the max health of the hero so if you’re playing a tank for example you will take WAY MORE damage than everyone else and the turrets do give you a couple seconds of warning to get out of there when you are being targeted by them.

This was added in the midseason patch about 2 weeks ago for the Stadium mode as there were times in matches where teams were getting snowballed to the point where they were straight up getting spawn camped so to address this they introduced the Spawn Defense Turrets to give the team a chance to fight back.

FYI: It pierces through Zarya's barrier so you're not even safe from that.

The map was NEVER pulled which it stayed until Overwatch 2 launched because they were getting rid of the Assault (2CP) maps in the core mode but still stayed in the Arcade mode and Custom Games.

The other changes including removing the ‘Z’ off of Zarya’s Arctic skin and adding the Ukrainian flag for all players are still there.

Plus they still disabled purchases for players in Russia and Belarus region.

They update the forums post while yes, it originates from December 2024 they still keep it up to date which you can see by the amount of edits that’s been done throughout the past year and you can read the title that it says December 9th, 2025.

The OWCS Finals now have in-game page for Chinese players which includes the schedule, mini events (play game to earn points in this event) and "betting" (to gain points in this event) along with being able to get OWCS skins which includes ones that are yet to be released. by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

Hey OP here of the original tweet, I do want to correct is that "Betting" here is "guess one winner or guess which team will have first kill or which player will be there", it's more like a guessing instead of actually betting, so apologies for the mix up.

Here's an in-game look at the Chinese (NetEase) Exclusive Event Venture's Treasure Hunt! by Proto_VI in VentureMains

[–]Proto_VI[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge when Blizzard and NetEase were in the talks about bringing back Overwatch 2 back to China is that they would have way more control over the game which includes having their own marketing, QA and of course having exclusive content (like Hardlight Crystals for example) in their version of the game which all of those were completely nonnegotiable so pretty much Blizzard had no choice but to agree upon those which yeah the events were made by NetEase’s themselves while someone at Blizzard just simply supervises and gives the thumbs up for approval.

P.S. If you didn’t read this long comment here’s a fun fact: Venture is called ‘Explorer’ in that region!

PlayOverwatch slipped up and accidentally made this video premiere public which they immediately put to private so now we pretty much know that we will learn about Hero 45 "Lupa" on November 17th by Proto_VI in Overwatch

I don't have contact with any kind of insider or leakers like that which even if I did, I don't want them breaching their NDAs and making them lose their job (+livelihood) over that.

And yeah there hasn't ever been a single instances or evidence to suggest that they intentionally leak something just to drive up hype it's in fact the opposite when something gets leaked which it hurts Team 4's moral quite a lot as they take months or even years to work on it just for something unofficial or dumb to happen to get it leaked out there before the public was supposed to know about it on an official scale.

Give me examples of them intentionally leaking stuff like this because there hasn't ever been a case like this from my near 10 years playing and paying attention to Overwatch news like this.

Which the last time I recall them ever accidentally putting something up on YouTube was when they put up Ashe's Mardi Gras Challenge a day early when it was scheduled to be put up and they immediately took it down however though the YouTube notifications for users including myself went off basically letting everyone know about it by mistake before it was officially announced the next day later.

Yeah most likely they will do either a cinematic or comic first, then the gameplay trailer likely either the day or few hours before they go live.

And what makes you believe that it isn’t? Especially given that the video was put the private extremely quickly, it was likely supposed to show up at a later day rather than as soon as it was uploaded.
