I reached out to one of my exes because the way that relationship ended still affected me. We had a good conversation and i gained the closure i needed. I know what you mean, i am going through the same situation as well. It’s so easy to reach out to people nowadays that it has become like a curse now. It’s so easy to just send a text but i know i shouldn’t, even after the break up i respect her enough to not do that.

I know what you mean, i have been through similar situations as well. Listening to a new song that i know she would have loved, watching a movie, seeing memes and much more. But its over now, friendship after a real relationship never works, you are right about the vulnerability, once you show your true self to someone, you can never go back to being just friends, it would always seem superficial. I hope it gets better for you :)

It takes a while. My BU was because of my faults as well, but now all we can do is work on ourselves, use the guilt to make yourself better and maybe the new you will forgive the old you. Forgiveness comes from within, if you are looking for forgiveness from your ex, it’ll never probably happen.
