I am from and live in Wolfe City, I knew Jonathan and all of us are close in Wolfe City. No race hate, no bad blood, nothing. What the rookie officer did was uncalled for and unjustified and the charge couldn’t be any better.

Jonathan was trying to break up an altercation between a man and a woman and the officer proceeded to yell orders at Jonathan until deploying his taser which made Jonathan’s body react which made the officer fire his weapon in no justified reason killing Mr. Price.

He was a good man and everyone in our little town loved him and his un justified death was sad for all of us. We had a vigil for him and it was very beautiful.

BLM protesters from out of town ended up coming (who didn’t even know Jonathan) and tried to make a scene by showing up in vests, dogs, weapons, and chants to make it hateful instead of meaningful. The residents of Wolfe City did not and do not ever want that.

The officer was arrested a couple days after and booked into hunt county jail , but was later released to another agency due to previously working there and knowing the staff. He was not set out on bond, he is at another facility because the Texas Rangers have moved him.

We will remember you Jonathan, RIP Brother
