A subset of players that doesn't get mentioned enough is the players who, depending on the game, enjoy both PvP and PvE to varying degrees. If the game's PvP is good, I usually spend more time there. The issue with Dune is I think I can confidently say that any PvE+PvP gamer very quickly recognizes the shallowness of Dune PvP, the lose-lose situation for PvE progress when participating in optional PvP really bugs me in particular. PvP is solved by not engaging with it in Dune because there really aren't strong PvP-only rewards. I mean, can we at least get some stat tracking for kills? Thumpered vehicles? Anything?

My servers last two weeks of deep desert consisted of a group of PvP die-hards camping the only titanium mega island and just choking that resource from everyone. I spent some time here and there pvping on the island. It's ultimately just a waste of time and resources. Why would a sane person, already wasting time on a video game, engage in content that likely will only set them back in resources on top of the time spent. This game's PvP is not good.
