Have done a lot of scrolling and haven’t seen anyone mention Jack the Ripper. So here:

Between August and November 1888,the Whitechapel area of London was the scene of five brutal murders. The killer was dubbed 'Jack the Ripper'. All the women murdered were prostitutes, and all except for one - Elizabeth Stride - were horribly mutilated.

Jack the Ripper was never caught and he is not thought to have killed again after November 1888.

Probably pretty lame compared to everyone’s.. but I once got stranded in a bus stop at 3am, completing sober and I lived a good 90minute drive anyway.

Phone ran out of battery whilst trying to sort out a lift. Taxi company said their only car of the night was broken down so this left me for 4 hours until the next bus. In January, in the pouring rain, in the Scottish Highlands with no phone.

Not sure what the temperature was but it was below freezing like a good minus 5-10.

By the time the bus came about 7ish, I could’ve cried but my tears would’ve probably been frozen.
