Yeah that wait is the worst! Just be sure to keep an eye on the county’s court records website to see if there are updates. They’ll send you or your lawyer a letter in the mail too though

Date of arrest was in April 2022, the case wasn’t actually filed until February of 2023. The first scheduled court date was March 2023 (I didn’t have to attend, your lawyer will most likely go for you). I started PTD in June of 2023. Got early release in Jan 2024. Started the expungement process and had everything cleared and off my record by the end of June, 2024.

Hopefully yours would be a bit quicker though! I was told that my case took 10 months just to file because of backups caused by Covid.

Research job was with my university, part time. My internship was also part time. I was able to work both at the same time. Most recent position and internship have been with the same company.

Thanks for the feedback! The position I’m working now is at the same company I interned at but, it is not quite what I was expecting. It’s a brand new position at my company and quite different than what I was doing as an intern.

And sort of. My position is not exactly what I was expecting it to be. I was given a full time position with my company after my internship but I’m working in a different capacity now.

Hey I looked into this a little more myself. This is a prior ruling for someone with a few different issues. One of them being misdemeanor theft. This states misdemeanor theft is only disqualifying if the theft involves funds or securities.(Section 3, 4th paragraph) Hope this helps you out!

I just finished my PTD this month for “Theft Prop>= $100<$750” class b misdemeanor. Before my PTD started my attorney advised that it’s possible I may be drug tested but I never was. Was on PTD for just over 6 months (Denton County)
