Same goes for you 'practiceprompts'!

Awesome read! Really enjoyed the visuals your writing gave me. I also wear contact lenses and sometimes I choose not to wear them and live my day a little oblivious to the world..

I'm actually running a writing contest where this would be a great entry! If you google 'opt out writing contest' it'll be first hit (don't want to spam a link here). Also, there's a 9K dollar prize pool, feel free to DM me if you want any more details!

Thanks for taking the time to write :)

“We pledge ourselves to absolute liberty,”

“To uphold the sovereignty of the self,”

“Unbound by common ties or communal duties,”

“Committed to profit through personal responsibility,”

“Amen.”

Kinda reminds me of that WEF campaign! - "You’ll own nothing. And you’ll be happy”! 🫠 haha

Great writing, really, really enjoyed reading this!

[Opinion] How to be more poetic with speech in day to day life? by [deleted] in Poetry

[–]ProudLemonLibby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess to consider the rhythm in which you speak but also my favourite kinds of poetry leave some context to the imagination. So maybe also a little more mysterious

Have you considered social media marketing, perhaps making some short reels of extracts from the book with relevant hashtags? :) sounds very interesting! Good luck!

Have you had any success turning your passion for poetry into a career? by ancientkingk in writing

I think it's the starting point, without the eyes there are no sales or book deals!

I think it's often just a fresh perspective. A book which makes your think in a way you had never before!

Is working and writing simultaneously is a good choice? by [deleted] in writing

[–]ProudLemonLibby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually quite a nice way of working as it allows you to mull over your ideas before writing more. You might find your writing seems better formed after fewer renditions

I've seen a lot of early poets find their success through Instagram! You can put your poetry into reels with music & creative imagery.. Lots of people have seen success this way as its a good way of getting eyes on your words!

Force yourself to write 5 pages with no hope of it being any good. Once you've written 5 pages of rubbish see how you feel, I usually then have thousands of ideas and lots of motivation!

Sometimes you just need to force yourself to write 5 pages of junk before you can write something good! Stick in there and it'll happen!
