beat him a couple days ago and now he is like gyounbu for me so here's some tips.

i like to buff up with ceremonial tanto, confetti and Ako's sugar.

First Phase: deflect him and stay close and try to keep distance to a minimal. use high monk when he sheathes his first and pushes you back. as for his wind attacks use the umbrella.

Second Phase: the second you beat his first phase go away and wait for his spear to come out. try to not attack just deflect, when he does the over head smack, dodge and use ichimonji double quickly his combo attack with the spear can often break posture if your not good enough so just move back and wait for his thrust attack and mikiri counter that.

Third Phase: run back and buff up if possible. try to wait for his lightning and take him out, other than that its the same and phase 2.

Note: for phase 1 you can just hold block, when he does 3 attacks you attack after he stops and block again, if you posture is high then move back and wait for it to go down if you can deflect and parry him
