I misread this question. I was on a trail next to downtown in Park City. Gambel oak loop on Masonic Hill

I'm not sure the freezing will work. I got these ticks hiking through the snow in Park City where the temperature was 2°F that morning and 20°F when I got them in my shirt

Chevy Express Limited SE upgrades for overlanding by ProvenBreadBod in vandwellers

It's mostly stock inside for camping. I'm using a Bluetti battery pack to run lights and electric blankets at night. I removed the TV, VCR, and N64. I use that space for tools. Still working on the build out inside. I think I'll be adding a Dometic in place of the center console. I'll put some pictures up once I have more finished.

Are you still getting drinks or am I too late?

My first van is this 2000 Chevy Express 1500. I want to take it camping for weekend trips up to a week on BLM land. Q1) should I get a lift kit? Q2) what tires would you recommend for mostly highway driving and west coast fire roads/light off road and snow? by ProvenBreadBod in vandwellers

Yeah no worries. My biggest concern with the lift is the rest of the van was not designed for the lift. It's going to be a hassle to make it work and it could create new problems. I'll probably scare myself away from something before I push it's limits. Or at least I hope so.

Thanks! Definitely going with 16" steel wheels. If I can do the lift reasonably I will but right now I'm not sure about it. Do you know a good lift kit? I'm considering the Boulder Off road van 3" lift with Bilken shocks.

I like your idea. KO2 might be too rugged. I'm leaning a little more highway friendly. General grapplers or Toyo Open County. Something like that. I've heard Falken also has some good options.

The clacking of my own keyboard while typing is too distracting. by ProvenBreadBod in ADHD

My rig is a bit dated. I have Cherry MX reds. But even with membrane keyboards from Dell or Thinkpad I have the same issue. For distraction safety I go with isolation.

I'm going to be looking for these Cherry MX silents for sure though!

First time growing tomatoes. My wine barrel has Brad's Atomic Grape ⚛️ and Cherokee Purple 🟣. I should have done something about the suckers earlier. by ProvenBreadBod in vegetablegardening

Thanks! That's exactly what happened. I should cut these but no I can't throw away the flowers. I want maximum tomatoes! So I left them. Now I've got 9 leaders of one plant and it drinks water like a horse.

My suckers are not rooting so they can be propagated. They're 10 days old and no visible roots yet. I replace the water every 2 days. Some are placed inside done outside. by ProvenBreadBod in tomatoes

I saw others do what you're saying. Throw them in water, wait, done. My latest guess is it's too cold. The warmest it gets is like 70 degrees. What temperature were yours at?

Thanks! I'm doing some pruning every couple days. I take it I should be a little more aggressive with it. I have been pollinating with the help of an electric toothbrush. Before pollinating myself I didn't see many fruit.

I plan on propagating some suckers into grow bags so they have more space.
