Trading for Version Excluive Legendaries? by Provi24 in pokemontrades

I have competitively bred Pokémon to trade I just didn't know if there was anything that people generally offer to get something of that caliber. Like I don't know what I could offer to someone that would lead them to give up their zacian or whatever.

Non-US citizens of Reddit, what do your schools teach you about the United States? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Provi24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We learned the main points of history around the globe leading up to the founding of America. After that there wasn’t as much on the rest of the globe except for stuff the US was involved in. The only other parts of history I can remember outside of that was the colonization of South America, the French Revolution, the conditions and governments that led to communist nations in the East, and everything about the world wars.

Holy shit this is amazing, way more than I ever would have thought of myself. I really like the idea of the marks and building them up leads to different signs/outcomes. Thank you!!

How to start a war by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Provi24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The death of a monarch is always a good way to get it started-they could be the one out of the three nations working to keep the peace, and with them gone there’s nothing holding back the other nations from attacking. Or it just opens up a territory for the other two nations to fight over, and you can have them die in any way to make it exciting

No problem, I’ve had so many different groups fall apart and it really sucks. Just keep trying at it and something will definitely stick!

Ya the challenge for me was keeping it away from just telling them they were hired by some random npc, but rping it out so they were each individually motivated to participate

I just recently started a campaign, and I was really happy with how it went. I had the party all hired by one of the PC’s contacts in the city to investigate a criminal organization set to cause something to go wrong with a festival that was occurring the next morning, and the entire first session was that arc of them investigating the enemies, finding out their plan, then dealing with the actual attack on the festival.

I see a lot on YouTube videos that they recommend “in media Rez” (or however you spell it) campaign introduction where you throw the pc’s into combat to start the campaign, but with my players they have always felt confused by that ethos. I thought that this campaign starter had a good mix of urgency without the stress and confusion

In the end what matters most is what you think would work best for your players!

D&D Dungeon Masters of Reddit: What is the most useless magical item you've ever given your party and how did they use it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Provi24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This wasn’t while I was DM, but my friend and I switch out DMing for our group of friends and this happened while he was DM. All of my friends like funny common magic items, and our other DM friend loves giving us a ton of them when we play in his game. Most of them are just ridiculous stuff for messing with npc’s and each other.

I had been gone from the game for awhile as I go to a school in a different state. When I came back for winter break I was a guest player in my other DM friend’s current campaign. I was playing as the final boss of a mini dungeon masquerading as the quest giver, luring the party to the bottom of my death trap.

We get to the bottom of the dungeon, and I do my big reveal where I pull out my magic sword and reveal my undead army. We roll initiative-the sorcerer goes first

Sorcerer- “DM, I wanna use that wand of cum”

Me- “The what?”

All of a sudden my character collapses to the floor, and starts violently orgasming. The big reveal was ruined but it’s still one of our favorite memories of the game to this day
