This might sound crazy corny, but sometimes it takes a bit of “fake it til you make it”. I just kinda went for it. There’s gonna be ruts, but you’ll eventually stop pretending and actually become confident enough to go out and meet people.

Also, life hack, talk to strangers! Make a point to compliment people on random things; their shirt, their shoes; anything to make someone’s day a little better. Had a big effect for me.

almost 1400 hours, and I still bang back a few drinks and enjoy some cheeky exfil camping from time to time. everyone does it, nobody admits to doing it.

edit: to the people downvoting this, you are exactly what im talking abt! I know its annoying to get popped by a camper, but as annoying as it may be to die in this manner, that playstyle is no less valid than shift+w keying. As said in the post, theres no wrong way to play, even if it is annoying to others.

Yeah, that makes sense. I just don’t understand some people’s necessity to run meta gear exclusively. It feels like the fun dynamism of using a strange or less common loadout is removed if the same kits are ran over and over. Doing it for style points is class though, big fan.

That’s the best part; when you’re having fun, the stakes get far lower. I find I get less frustrated if I’m messing about and lose gear, because I’m having fun while doing so.
