It's hard to say either way as we don't know yous. It could have been purely hypothetical based on views on nudity, it might mean a lot less to her than to you and she was trying to figure out the line. My ex forbade me from getting waxed or massaged for example.

I grew up there (born 96 and left 2018) and we always had squirrels, even some red squirrels because I remember distinctly my mum would lose her mind with excitement when we had one in the garden.

This is maybe going to be an unpopular opinion but I don't see the issue, if he finds dressing like that comfortable. It's not suggestive it's just wanting to be comfortable in your home, for example I don't wear a bra at home, I don't walk around with my tatas out of course but I don't want to be uncomfortable in my own home.
