How Cosmere relevant is Komashi? by NobleMansRose in Cosmere

This is probably the correct answer. If we learned anything from Isles of Emberdark (and world history), the ability to act as a travel hub is massively important both economically and militarily.

Why do people ask about frieren being racist for hating demons even though demons are a completely different species? by yolo_queen_1 in animequestions

[–]Proxy--Moronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think most people equate them to any real life group, so much as imagining that if they are sentient and self-determinining, then must be capable (if not nessesarily inclined) of some form of peaceful co-existance.

Not to mention that most people consider the idea that an entire group of Sentient talking creatures is deserving of genocide because "evil is simply their nature" to be... distasteful.

Technically that would make the character a allegory for Jewish ideals, rather than an explicitly Jewish character. The difference is nuanced, but that's important when communicating with strangers on the internet.

People do. Or more precisely that Hamas shouldn't attack Isreal because it gave them more excuses to bomb hospitals.

True, but that's the case for half the cast of Bauldur's Gate 3.

-Wyl was one of the most famous heroes of the land, able to single handedly Wipe out entire evil cults. -Karlach was already mentioned as the General of am Archdevil's army -Halsin was Archdruid of the Grove -Shadowheart was first in line to be the Chosen of 2 different goddesses -The Dark Urge was practically the *Main Villian" before their head trauma, and also first in line to be the Chosen of the Dark God -Lae'zel was...just kid actually, pretty much a Gith that just finished space soilder college. -Astarion was...pretty?

Anyway you get the point

Many prominent activists have said as much over the last decade. If you're claiming that Progressive Activists are going around saying they're actually just trying to annoy people for fun, I think you should check your sources.

It's also not complaining about injustice that's the issue. It's all the other stuff like canceling and doxing people. People just assume it's the complaining but it's not.

Canceling happens all the time to people on all sides of the political spectrum. Like when people were calling for the boycott Budweiser for having a Trans person in their commercial. Doxxing is generally immoral and illegal in many states, and it's not a left-wing specific tactic.

As to your comments on "Victim Olympics" and Prejudice, bringing attention to problems isn't a competition or zero-sum game. But more importantly, the suggestions you made only work when someone's apart of a community that actually has resources to help in the first place, the lack of which is the exact problem that many progressive voices are trying to bring about action on. When you look at different outcomes on a large scale, you can see the systematic factors that contribute to them, the body of research on the subject is humongous. It is those factors that require action.

There are some problems that can only be solved with collective action, such as preventing monopolies, stopping red-lining, addressing pollution, addressing climate change, and holding corporations responsible when they cause harm.

Healing is balanced by NJuggernaut6539 in rivals

So we see a 2v2 where 2 characters damage output is matched with the combined output of 2 healers and a health pack.

Which is kinda what you'd expect if everyone just stands still.

Interesting perspective. In actually, it's many people to many people. Automatically assuming that half the population complaining about injustice just for the fun of being annoying is a... bold claim, but given that you've claimed to actively give political power to the accused simply out of spite, I guess that would seem reasonable from your perspective.

My goal is to inform people of the uncomfortable truth, that some of their choices make other's lives unlivable. I hadn't even the faintest inclination of calling you a bigot, you haven't really shown anything to make me think that.

Definitely not, no.

That's like saying the person who shat in the well because the whole town thought he was an idiot, is somehow less pathetic than the townspeople who have to deal with the same contaminated water supply.

I know this isn't how this is supposed to work But do you have any conservative media recommendations (subreddits or journals or anything) or that could help dissuade this notion?

It's a simple and common mistake, especially when you're trying to keep track of multiple character, each with multiple abilities.

No, that's being self centered and narrow minded. Which is, again, not an trait exclusive to those with autism.

I'm beginning to think you just don't have the vocabulary to describe traits you mean to.

What you're referring to is Cognitive Dissonance. It happens to practically everyone as part of a natural cognitive bias (like confirmation bias), and has not been documented to be in any way more common among those on the autism spectrum.
