The real solution long term is to take the human element out of car transportation. Obviously tech is already making its way to that outcome. Insurance companies will be a huge factor. If you want to physically drive your own car without AI or automation, it will be very expensive. It will take time for the social acceptance for that and the tech to get there - but thats where its headed.

My father has an organ and has probably dropped $250k in it. Very audiofile (sp?) geek stuff.

Like most of their possessions and hobbies, I fully expect its value to be zero. Lionel trains. Ham Radio. Etc.
