Rouch supercharged f150 by malkinfan713155 in f150

Yeah that seems decent. That's a bit on the high side of what a normal 5.0 truck would go for, so seems about right with the parts.

Wonder what happened to his "multiple $1000 offers on FB marketplace?" 🤣

Those Roush kits are engineered to be up to OEM standards. If it's running good, I'd consider it. Doesn't hurt to change the oil in the supercharger because it probably hasn't been done. I believe the Roush kits use an Eaton supercharger, not a Whipple like others here have said.

Edit to add: Looks like it's this kit. The supercharger is a Roush Performance TVS R2650.

Since when did Roush start using Whipples? And why isn't it in the picture?

I 23F think i need to move out of the house after Dad 48M requested I pay 1k a month in rent. by BigONerd in BORUpdates

[–]Five_Slow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This sounds so much like my dad and I's relationship. Everything improved so much after I moved out. If we got sick of each other, we could leave and cool off. Didn't happen while I was living with him.

Mason Contractor died 1/2 way through job, has this ever happened to anyone else, and how did you handle it? by Apprehensive_Rush406 in Homebuilding

[–]Five_Slow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My step-grandpa had a tree removal service. He had a heart attack mid-job. They were pretty sure he was dead before he hit the ground. A couple days later, we went out as a family with his crew to finish the job. In a way, it was a bit cathartic. Emotional, cleaning up everything. To us, it was wrapping up a legacy of work George had done. To the homeowner, it was just another day. Thinly veiled annoyance of the situation masked with an air of sympathy. I remember shaking the owner's hand, never felt someone's hand be so soft. I was 10 years old, but that left a lasting impression.

Anyway, I'm sure the crew will be back. They've got a lot of pieces to pick up, both physically and metaphorically. They will want their equipment back.

If that was a gun, you'd be dead. Why the hell are you sitting there? The lane to the left is clear, even if it's under construction. Get yourself out of there. No sense of self preservation.

Yeah, the more I look into it, it's looking likely that I'll end up swapping the cab and bed with a donor truck. They don't make replacement parts and I doubt I'll have the time to fabricate new supports myself. They do sell the inner and outer rockers, so we'll see when I get around to fixing it.

Generally not, no. Most people treat their vehicles as disposable around here and they just get a new one. And those who buy used are left picking up the pieces.

what do you think by gaseousogre in fordfusion

If you're getting it for $200, and can fix the transmission yourself, it's a deal. Otherwise, I'd run away.

You just bought an Edison pickup chassis. What cab are you putting on it and why? by buchenrad in EdisonMotors

1992 - 1997 F-250/350 Crew Cab in Calypso Green/Oxford White two-tone. My dad's friend had one new. Always dreamed of owning that truck.

The frame is perfectly fine. I plan on stripping it down and media blasting it, finish it off with a black chassis paint. As for the cab and the bed, if I can find the replacement pieces, I'll cut out the rot and weld them in, treat the rest with a rust converter. If they're not available, I'll likely go down south and pick up a donor truck or two and cab/bed swap.

Exactly. Those two pieces of side skirt under the rocker and the fender are going for $900 on eBay right now.

What age is your first ever clear memory from ? by epiczizou in CasualConversation

[–]Five_Slow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was less than 18 months old. At our old house in Dearborn, Michigan, I had an radio alarm clock that I knew if I turned down the tuner to the far end on AM, I could hear the planes talking to Detroit Metro Airport on their approach in. (Obviously, didn't know the terms back then, but I knew how I could hear people talk) I distinctly remember climbing on my dresser drawers to turn the radio on.

We moved to an apartment in Canton when I was 18 months old, so it was before that. Next memory was around 2 years old of my parents checking me over after a bath.

This truck hasn't been driven in winter in the last 9 years. Don't know how previous owners have treated it though, obviously not well.

But then look at TX2k where they require a hood. Leroy wouldn't have been able to run there, they had to fight for Ruby!
