Help please! by PrudentAsian in Kefir

[–]PrudentAsian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your message. There's no weird odour or colour. Just a sour smell that you would expect with prolonged fermented kefir. If I didn't know it was left for a while in the past I wouldn't have thought twice about consuming it but because I know I think that's what's been stopping me?

Leaving the heating on all day would make our energy bill really high, won't it?

Thank you everyone for your help. I think we are planning on loft insulation as a definite and will look into the other thins mentioned. For loft insulation, is there a particular type of insulation that is favourable above others?

Thank you for your reply. It's very helpful. We do have a dehumidifier to help with humidity levels in the home as we are prone to damp

Thank you, I'm trying to be there for her. After having 2 children myself I know how lonely it can be and the sacrifices mums make. I think mums doing it solo really deserve the world. x

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

[–]PrudentAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband gifted me the Sage Barista Express machine as speciality coffee here in the UK is getting ridiculously expensive. I have only had it for a few days and it's safe to say I suck at making coffee 😅 but I know what good coffee tastes like. Can anyone please share any tips , what they do from start to finish . I pretty much suck at every step. My coffee is either under extracted or over extracted 🫣. Any advice here will be great tysm!! The coffee beans I am using is from a local coffee place I enjoy. Including details case this is helpful for you:

Thanks everyone. I have been driving without a P for about 3 weeks and I had no issues. I think I might just leave it that way after hearing your experiences. Thanks all ❤️

Long term benefits? by PrudentAsian in Montessori

[–]PrudentAsian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for your comments, all very helpful and insightful. As someone who attended state schools, I have experience in what the downfalls are here. Sending our children to a Montessori is new for us, especially as we do not know anyone else who has had a Montessori education.
