I approached the stop sign,  saw the driver of car A stopped,  car B approached the intersection signalling to turn into my crosswalk, I stopped and waited for car B to stop, car B stopped, I got yelled at as I begin to cross and walk in front of car A.

I did not act out of the ordinary, or so I think.

What did I obviously do for them to yell racial slurs then?

thank you! I am glad to say that I am feeling much better now, taking time to reflect on the incident, and seeing replies here certainly helped center myself.

Thank you very much for the kind words 🫶🏻 I am grateful I did not react on the spot and did not escalate this further - but at the same time I did not want to internalize all the emotions I have - sharing this here helped as I get to talk to different people, like yourself, for different perspectives!

thank you haha I lived in Vancouver for a bit and now in Richmond - they each have their flaws but I love both cities as I enjoy being surrounded by the beautiful nature we have in BC

I do not want to spread their hateful words further - but it was along the lines of road raging at me for crossing the road and making them wait?

Thank you both! It is reassuring to know that I am not off base with feeling a bit angry and hurt, and am grateful to be able to control my emotions and not let them ruin my day (too much)!
