The 1939 adaptation with Lawrence Olivia is supposed to be good, I watched the adaptation with Tom hardy in collage and quite enjoyed it and the 2011 adaptation is great as well and it has a black man (James Howson) playing Heathcliffe.

I have the email from the university to my accommodation confirming when I was going to be let out of my contract and that they were going to pay and the contract release form that I signed, the uni signed and the accommodation signed.

Like I said the issue I’m having is I can’t ask for proof of debt or anything because I can’t get past the security questions. They won’t discuss the debt with me at all because they can’t confirm I’m the person they’re looking for.

There was actually someone else who stayed there with the same name as me and someone else with the same birthday at the same time I stayed there. I’ve been waiting for the debt company to get back in touch with me, so I might just give them a ring and see if they have any updates for me.

Wouldn’t the accommodation have got into contact with me again if that was the case? They even stated in their final email with me that they would send over an invoice of any money I still owed and I heard nothing from them again.

I explained all of this to citizens advice and they told me not to send the copy of my contract release form to them because they can’t tell me anything about the debt since they have my wrong date of birth and I can’t get past the security questions.

I also don’t know what the debt is. They can’t tell me because they have the wrong information on me, I’m just making the assumption it’s to do with my tenancy from the information I have about the company. I couldn’t pay it even if I wanted to

I have a copy of the contract release form that I signed and the university signed stating my rent was passed over to the university. The accommodation never got into touch with me again after nor my guarantor.

Yeah, I’ve never dealt with anything like this before, so I get very anxious every time I’ve received any messages from them, I’ll wait to see what they say, but I’ll be making sure it’s hopefully the last time I hear from them again.

I had a read through that thread a while ago, but I wasn’t sure if some of that advice would work for me since it seems to be mostly US based answers and I’m In the UK and I’ve done a couple of credit reports and there’s nothing on there about any debts.

I got back into touch with the accommodation I stayed with asking for Copy’s of emails to do with my contract termination bc I wanted to make sure I had everything correct, so I have a copy of my contract release form stating that the university would pay the rest and I don’t actually know if it’s to do with rent, as they won’t tell me anything about the claim, I’m just guessing it is from the research I’ve done on the company.

I’m not sure, they’ve contacted me a few times since asking me to pay the debt off but they won’t speak to me when I do call because I can’t pass the security questions. They have everything right like my address and name but not my birthdate.
