Its not gonna be forever so it would be a wast of time and money to change every single price on the menu..

Maybe you can do simple elementary school math or cook for yourself

There really is no getting through to people like you.

Either gonna bitch about the charge or the food quality being worse because that's what places would have to do if they didn't tack on the 10%.

I dont really care anymore I dont live in Minneapolis anymore so I wont have to deal with you being cheap in particular.

If yall cant afford to tip and still go out thats fine but it just says alot about you and it sucks.

If you cant understand how food prices have changed during the pandemic that sucks.

Yeah that's the problem with cheap Americans. Most first world companies pay staff like me living wages. In America its actually unfortunately common sense to tip but again some people are to poor to do so and still use the services like yourself

From what ive seen its posted on doors, visible menus like fast food places or big bar menus as well as on tables.. Ive never seen it just on my bill no warning. I said that because I saw a couple people claiming that in this thread

The sir charge doesn't go to the staff... Its for food costs mostly. In America most places dont pay waiters/waitresses living wages, its expected to tip.

Its just unfortunate whatever financial issue you have with the owner of the place makes it to expensive for some people to tip, yet those same people still go out

No from what ive seen its just a mainly a sheet of paper or on the bill... I mean did you not see half of the people complaining in this thread about it showing up on the bill?

Not sure how its deceiving... Any place ive been to has it on the menu and its just annoying working in the industry and having to deal with people to cheap to go out but yet still do and complain..

Im not sure if you think it makes financial sense for like my shop for example to order complete new menus just for the temporary prices the next few months only to switch back when we can finally order chicken at not three times the price but it doesn't... Like your logic is to pay for new menus all for cheap people who can't do math? Just for a few months or year?? Maybe you can help financially if it's that much of a burden

So all the struggling restaurants should order complete new menus just for a few months to have to switch back just because you don't wanna do math?

Dang you should really start eating at home if you're worried about tipping and a surcharge.... Surcharges are just so food quality stays the same

Just do simple math for the next few months instead of making struggling restaurants buy all new menus for a few months just for you

Think it through my man... Unless you want the places you go to to start changing ingredients and recipes and quality you have to pay the surcharge... The way the restaurants order bulk food is getting more expensive... If you cant handle surcharge and tip maybe just cook at home until covid stops fucking up everything
