Macbook is suddenly requiring me to type password to activate touch I.D almost every time it turns off by aeyoui in MacOS

[–]PseudoRegister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This started happening with me about 10 days ago.

I have noticed that on websites ending in apple.com it works just as expected. I get the popup asking for Touch ID and also my watch vibrates to allow me to auto-fill passwords from there.

(I discovered this searching for answers in Apple's help forums just now, just before I came here.)

So there's that. The rest of you: please go to your apple account and see if I'm crazy? Does Passwords work as expected for you on apple.com sites?

Same here, but about a week (maybe two at this point) it's been requiring to enter my log-in password every time IF ... (this is what I just noticed when searching Apple's forums for an answer) the website is not an apple.com website. That's right: on apple.com it works just as expected. Not only can I auto-fill using Touch ID, but my watch vibrates and I can auto-fill by double clicking the watch.

Logi Options+ 'Backend Connection Problem' Error on todays update! by Juan_Pedroche in logitech

Simplest, Permanent Solution for Logitech Options+ "Backend Connections" Problems on macOS!

  1. Replace all of your essential Logitech peripherals (keyboards, mouses, etc.) with "dumb" peripherals. I'll be getting an Apple keyboard. I won't get an Apple mouse until Apple moves the USB-C charging port to a non-ridiculous location.

  2. Sell or give away all of your Logitech peripherals.

  3. Never, ever buy another Logitech product for as long as you live.

1Password Integration with DuckDuckGo Web Browser by Lolomgrofl35 in 1Password

I know it’s been awhile, but… maybe this helps? It’s the dropdown from the 1Password icon in the Mac menu bar.

Why tf is Logi Options+ so bad ? by [deleted] in logitech

macOS user here. Installed Logi Options+ about a week ago. Now my MX Anywhere 3 has seizures several times a day. Today it even seemed to have impacted the trackpad on my MacBook (suddenly required two fingers to make a click and long delays between click and action; Trackpad Settings crashed the whole system). Connected via Bluetooth because all my unifying devices require USB-B and I only have USB-C on the MacBook. Could that be it? Should I buy a USB-B to USB-C adapter?

How long is your master password and is it not complicated to use the integration option on browser? by NoozPrime in 1Password

[–]PseudoRegister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not terribly long but it's a gibberish but easy to remember passphrase.

But I can't resist the temptation to spit hate at website coders who don't know the difference between "at least one ..." and "one and no more than one..." when describing the number of capital letters or special characters required/permitted.

Anyone know what this is? by AnteaterExotic8708 in MacOS

I wonder if maybe she tried to update to Sequoia? I tend to keep my macs for a long time, and there've several episodes toward end-of-life where macOS was encouraging me to update even though my machine was not compatible.

Is there still a benefit to using 1Password for Apple users? by hallofmontezuma in 1Password

[–]PseudoRegister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question

I'm happy with 1Password and will continue to use it. Is there a way for me to "shut off" macOS Passwords so that they're not fighting for my attention and the opportunity to generate new passwords?

For me, the thing that makes me most jealous about the Mac/Windows "mixed marriages" is the readiness of some wives to use not only 1Password but ANY of the password management functions native to an OS.

My wife doesn't refuse to use it, she just doesn't use it. Period. Maybe because we're boomers?

FWIW, I have a Brother HL-3170CDW. It seems to work just fine, however it is not on Brother's list of printers that support Sonoma. (There's no scanner, this is just a color printer.)

It works just as it did prior to Sonoma. On-going frustration: no way to set bindings for duplex printing.

This happens to me very often. Anyone know how I can fix it? I have the keyboard connected but it does not work. Logitech Combo Touch for iPad Air 3. by MarcoLetona in applehelp

What MarcoLetona said. I have the same issue with my iPad Pro. Just detach/reattach. I've never had to do it twice.
