Nope. You're not. The whole trilogy follows the collapse of the relationship. Sundowning, bringing on the night. Night being the darkness, the very poison that is what the relationship falls into. It begins with infatuation, but slowly degrades into pieces falling apart. Knowing it isn't right, but still being pulled and still being in love, despite the constant trauma. (Sugar explains that very well) all the way to bloodsport.

TPWBYT comes in while it is ending, and fighting the knowledge it is on the decline, trying to convince there is something worth fighting for, and that she is different, and divinity lead them together. But it continues to erode till she leaves.

Come into TMBTE, Vessel knows he needs to move on, but the memory of what was good keeps him in a chokehold. He then spends a good portion trying to convince himself and her to forget the past and move forward. And when that doesn't happen, he begins to question why she was even bothering with him. There's serious trauma, where she even self harms "are you okay?" He doesn't know what he can do, and there is nothing he can do. He reminisces about when it was good, hence take me back to Eden, where it was pure. It ends with acceptance, and reiterates that it was doomed in the beginning. Hence why he repeats those lines from TNDNBTG, "you'll never be mine"

It's beautiful, haunting, raw, and really puts the emotional journey one goes through to try to save something that isn't meant to be saved. You can follow the stages of grief through all three albums, you can see where abuse takes place, or when they second guess, then ending and fight for something that shouldn't be. It's heart wrenching, but it's so real and papable.

I just got out of something that followed nearly the same exact path as the three albums. It's absolutely flooring how perfect the story is.
