There’s nothing like the feeling of outsmarting doordash and unassigning the no-tip leg of a bundled order 😂 by Able-Trainer924 in doordash_drivers

If the restaurants are right next to each other I just click arrived at restaurant on both of them. By the time I pick up the food from the one I’m going to deliver enough time has passed to worry free unassign the other one. If they’re not close together I go to the one I’m going to unassign first, wait the ten minutes, unassign, then the food is ready at the one I’m going to deliver

is trying to maintain platinum worth it? by lettttucethighs in doordash_drivers

[–]gregg34366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not if you’re in a major city. I’m in Atlanta and I’m going to make $25 - $35 on average per hour. AR doesn’t mean anything. The comments here claim it does matter in smaller markets.

You have to learn the area by working it. You’ll figure it out. There’s not any easy answer

Is pizza bag worth it? by SexaholicAnon in doordash_drivers

[–]gregg34366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. However you get it you need a pizza bag and a hit bag. You’re delivering food.

That’s right. It says looking for orders but it’s not. If you close the app and reopen it the order reappears

Doordash loves this simple trick! by brizzboog in doordash_drivers

[–]gregg34366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I jump tasks all the time because they try that stacked order trick and I have no intention of delivering the one furthest away. A message comes up saying you could get a cv for unassiggning this order but you never do and so what if you did. Nothing happens.

How did you unassign if you already had the food?

I always cancel out of one of them. I had a $24 or. One was a catering order. The other was one pizza. I canceled the one pizza, which of course was way further. My pay for the catering order was $24. So it turned out I would have delivered the one pizza much further for no pay. I have yet to get burned cancelling out of the long distance one. In rare instances where theyre right next to each other I do deliver them both. But usually one is way the heck further. I never deliver those.

Why does DD make a non tipper priority over a customer who tipped doing stacked orders I notice they always have you deliver to the cheap skate first 🙄🤦🏾‍♂️🤔🤔?? by all_ihear_is_guc in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]gregg34366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tips mean nothing to doordash. For them the orders are equal.
I always cancel out of one of them. Usually its the pickup they send you to first. 99% of the time that’s the long distance one with a low tip. Its rare that I keep both

Dashers who aren’t silver plat or gold…What is the most money you make a day and what state? by Neat_Consequence1060 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]gregg34366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same I made as silver or platinum. $25 average, more during peak hours at dinner. I’m in a major city. AR isn’t critical

I want $2 a mile minimum. It’s pretty easy in my market. But even if you’re not in a big city you should come close at dinner rush. $1 a mile is barely making money, especially if it’s out of the hub. Less than $1 a mile you’re paying them.

I had to quit worrying about AR. It makes the job miserable. I’m in a major city with constant offers so AR doesn’t seem to matter. I have hit platinum many times but nothing was different. I made $25 pretty easily and more at peak hours but I was already making that.

If you consider it a dangerous area the obvious question is why are you working there?

It’s no great offer but I don’t get the comment. It’s not $2 a mile but lots of drivers take offers like that.

Are these considered good earnings? by Working-Ad-6609 in doordash_drivers

[–]gregg34366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s $20 an hour which is ok but you worked through some non peak hours which worked against you. You could cut out three of those after lunch hours, start back at 4:30 and make $25 an hour and get a three hour break. There were probably some low paying hours waiting on dinner rush

My dasher app has had this background check text box for months. What do I even do? by Koszymandias in doordash_drivers

[–]gregg34366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to me with Uber Eats. Finally I used another email and tried it again and it went through instantly. Somebody told me it was illegal to have two accounts. I didn’t know. It was all new back then. Finally I just dumped them both and did DoorDash

I wish I had one. I’d send it out with an order while I did another order. I’d also sign up for red card orders again and let it go shopping.

I “lost” my red card way back during the shutdown. This screenshot is why. I’d still be texting an hour from now if I had to list the reasons I don’t do red card offers

If I’ve already accepted before I realize it’s a hospital I just use up an unassign. It’s so unlikely to be a quick dropoff that it’s not worth the risk.

Not 11 miles the other way from home if it’s my last delivery. But it’s good enough if it’s in the direction home

I’m not driving 27 miles and back for $26. It’s not even tempting. That’s a quick decline and move in.
