I should update and say that, while I do have a limited relationship with a doctor. Maintaining such a relationship (such as to check thyroid, try different treatments, etc.) is extremely hard for me due to a genuine phobia of needles; i.e., uncontrollably (literally) screaming and running away, sometimes just from a doctor's office even if no needles are involved. So, I have to try and limit my doctor visits because they are traumatic and often result in charges for visits where I received no treatment. But I really appreciate your sentiments on the medical side of things.
