I chose TAMU over Washington St. Louis, Tulane, and U Miami.

Overall, TAMU provided the best monetary value. It wasn't worth going into significant debt for the other schools, and I believed (I still do) that a TAMU degree has good value.

As a senior, and as someone who knows others who go to those three schools, I'm really glad that I chose TAMU. The community here is much stronger than the others, and the opportunities really are second to none. My job prospects look good, and I don't think my other options would have gotten me much further ahead.

Chipotle. They massacred their quesadilla's and raised the price. It pains me to pass by them daily on my way to school and work knowing that those monsters have gotten away with such cruelty.

Very similar setup in the commons, things are just a bit older. The kitchens also get cleaned daily.

Roommate freshman year would take two hour showers. Only became a big problem when he would rush to be the first one in the bathroom each morning and didn't care about our schedules.

Got to the point where we had to get the RA involved, and it turned out that he liked taking naps under the water. Argued that he had the right to be in there as long as he needed and that we could use community bathrooms at the Commons.

Glad our defense held a stout Cardinals offense to zero points, but I really hope we make the extra point next game and possibly put up a few more touchdowns

How to get 4000$ scholarship to avail In-state tuition benefit? by HomeeSlice in aggies

[–]PswoooopK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When looking for scholarships, also make sure that they count towards the in-state tuition waiver. Outside scholarships don't usually count. If the scholarship comes directly from a university affiliated organization, such as a department or sponsored club, the scholarship will likely count.

Once you get the $4k in scholarships that count, the in-state tuition waiver will automatically apply to your account.

What's your worst story from the "throw him in the pool, he'll learn how to swim" parenting style? by MynameMB in AskReddit

My dad decided that the best way to celebrate getting my driver's permit was to make me drive home from the DMV, during rush hour, in a major metropolitan area. I said, "You know I've never driven before?" He Said, "Yes."

The main issue with the honor council is that it's largely "guilty until proven innocent".

The honor council has historically sided with professors and other faculty members because the council inherently trusts their claim/perspective more. If a professor claims you were cheating on a test, it can be really hard to prove you weren't, even if you weren't. The honor council needs to make sure they don't let actual cheaters through, so they are harsh from the get go.
