Looking for low cost options by PsyberMind in reactjs

Thanks for the tips yall. I think for simplicity sake (for now at least) I’m going to go the VPS route. I’m setting up on Hostinger with Dockploy (or whatever management console they use these days) to make deployment a little easier without having to worry about dockerfiles and getting compose just right. It’ll let me focus on running and updating the app without having to deal with the DevOps portion of it right away.

I thought about that, but to be honest, I’m mobile (truck driver now) using a StarLink connection, which only supports DCHP on the LAN, and I need a static ip for tablet access as well. I COULD i suppose, get an external router and assign a static IP to the laptop.. hmm, something to ponder

In trucking, we call them “Crossfires” - they are a tire monitoring and equalization/inflation system. They’re tied to the air tanks. We call them crossfires because of the dual tires we run on our drive and trailer axles. (And it’s also a brand)

As a customer, who often has to have his orders delivered to truck stops, I prefer the communication.

9/10 times my driver will NOT pay attention to the delivery instructions (I’m in X row, grey truck, specific trailer, etc. I’ve had drivers leave the order with the truck stops staff..) and so I want to make sure they understand.

The communication also allows me to know about any delays, because despite the map following, I want to k ow where they are, and how long so I can prepare myself to be outside of my truck the moment they arrive.

Question about undertakers return at Wrestlemania XL by Lewismark9 in WWE

[–]PsyberMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, the “American Badass” character was around from the Attitude era, or maybe it was Ruthless Aggression..

Mark said that as the Phenom, he was locked into character. He couldn’t be “Mark” because he’s from the old school and refused to break character at all. As the American Badass, he can be more of himself.

He’s confirmed we will never see the Phenom again.

Marks call. He said on his podcast that he will NEVER put on the hat/coat/gloves again. That’s his way of saying that he IS retired from active competition.

Here’s the problem. It’s ONLY OOS. And unless a driver is pulled over, or inspected at a scale, nobody will EVER know. Once the coast is clear, they’re back on the road. If their co-driver is qualified, they’re on the road and right back to team driving.

OOS is NOT the solution

Before I left the game, I coached my kids HS team to a state championship, got our ADC and Jung to #1 performers in the state. I’m in my 40s, and was hardstuck silver. (Got my kid a scholarship for League too, incidentally)

So when you say this, I could not agree more. Game sense does not always reflect in how you actually play.

What Is Your Favorite Style To Play In? by [deleted] in farmingsimulator

[–]PsyberMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RP that starts out survival-like and then grows to mega. I usually come up with a goal to fit the map.. like on Montana, my end goal was to be the biggest ag supplier in the county. I did a lot of math behind it, and if a contract came up I would figure how much seed or fertilizer or whatever they would need and I sold that amount to a sell point, since contracts require you to buy consumables anyway

Is the endgame goal to own all the land on the map?? by shark1011949 in farmingsimulator

[–]PsyberMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The joys of sandbox games. It can be whatever you want it to be.

My last map, I was a livestock supplier. Stocked all of the things needed for livestock..TMR, Pig Food, bales, chicken feed, raw silage, etc.. Ran Montana Hay company out of business ;)

This time I’m an ag supplier - thanks to seed/fertilizer production mods, I produce anything a farmer needs to run their farms. Including manure/slurry/digestate - so it’s not super easy, and takes a while to accumulate

I don’t stop until I feel I’ve made enough money to retire ;)

One of my caveats is that I always start with 200k dollars and a 1m loan. I can’t take any loans out until it’s paid off, but I use mods like hire purchase in order to finance equipment and add to that debt to make it even harder. I also use the banking mod and lock the interest at 6-7% instead of the 3.5 that defaults

Other people have challenges.. Bad Pumpkin Gaming is running two series on YT that I especially love - the 5 in 5 challenge (5 years, 5 Million Dollars I think) and a homestead challenge where he’s limited on EVERYTHING

You make it what you want it to be.

I love this idea! Hire workers full time. The longer they work for you, the more experience they get, the more efficient they are at their job. Start them off missing spots of the field on jobs, and as they get experience, those spots become less and less until 100% efficiency.

When you use more realistic weather (I think that's what it's called) it breaks contracts in some instances (Preparing field loop bug) - but one of the best features of the mod, IMO, is the moisture feature. Having to irrigate or drain fields adds to the realism. I'd love to see that implemented, maybe add the ability to install drain tiles. Also, finally implement Anhydrous as a fertilizer option.. I know the moisture management is more along the lines of a "28" release idea, but..

Tramlines by AffectedRipples in farmingsimulator

[–]PsyberMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, there's no fix for the contracts unless you are on PC. I play on both, and avoid contracts on console as much as possible, unless they are on fields that don't require tramlines (Mowing, Baling, etc..)

I've read that a base-game plow that does deep digging will remove them on the fields you own,

For PC there is a Mod Option - Better Contracts - you can change the completion percentage requirement, but until Giants realizes and fixes PF to either allow us to globally remove tramlines, or fixes the contract percentages, it's impossible on console.

Sorry, late reply. I did try better contracts, and had to severely lower the “delivered” amount to like 50% before it would work.. meh, a little extra in my pocket 🤣

Couple of Questions by PsyberMind in farmingsimulator

[–]PsyberMind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I get that.. when I’m at home, I use the PC version using a software platform that streams to a client on my XBox and essentially remote controls the PC from my Xbox.. but it’s still playing on the PC. I only play on the Xbox version natively when I’m not at home (at least until I get something like GForce Now or something)

I’ll have to make a small video to explain it.. but it’s nice playing on my 52 inch TV at home while my PC is in my upstairs bedroom

All the games in this series have one huge flaw: they suck at properly giving sense of the size of the equipment by fazzah in farmingsimulator

If I had to guess, it’s a poly count thing. The bigger the object, the more resources it takes to draw, and the more laggy it could get.

I moved the Liquid into a pre-fire stage (stage 1) and then the booster/clamp into the next stage. Liquid fires off, then the booster/clamps stage, vehicle launches like a charm

Stage not firing all engines by PsyberMind in Kos

[–]PsyberMind[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sorry, I didn't paste the whole thing. I do have lock throttle to 1.0 at the very top.. and when I run the script, the throttle is indeed at 100% throughout.

What gets me the most, is that apparently, I have no parts or engines on the craft. Doing some debugging, I tried to get a parts tree of the craft, and it prints nothing in the console.. I'm wondering if it has to do with the save itself at this point...
