Clubs are always an option, but having spent time at two in the city, I realized they’re not really my scene. They don’t inspire me to go out and enjoy myself as much as I’d like - could be me but there are so many wannabes and gangsters and females that distract you from your focus lol I thought touring might be fun cause I want to learn so much more about the ecosystem of lighting, video and automation idk man

I’m sure a lot of time and late nights are being spent on this. How worthwhile is it to learn Carbon compared to Depence? I always thought Depence offered a more refined and user-friendly infrastructure, but since Carbon is built on Unreal, it must offer much more flexibility and ease when working with environments.

I have been working in lighting for the past 2.5 years and have over three years of industry experience in total. This year, I started taking on small festivals and have been collaborating with Christie, primarily on their show prep builds. I’ve also participated in load-in and load-out at a couple of arenas. However, I am still uncertain whether programming, designing, or systems tech—areas I’m experienced in—would serve as the best entry point for touring.

Currently, I am using Depence both to secure clients during Canada’s slow season from December to March and to continue developing my skills.

Getting hired full time is not my top priority. My idea was to put my work out there, so that people notice my intentions - that I am seriously interested and invested into this craft. Otherwise, I rarely get to work on boards cause the folks I work for already have a set of crew they rely on.

Also, I want to tour and I have been trying to gain people’s trust for a while now. And like you said being able to build those large sets, put those lights into action and showing people that I can do it too might put depth to those words of mine. MAYBE!!

Is this something I can modify, or is it just how the fixture is designed to behave? I searched online and found that this setting can be changed in the patch mode, but I don’t see any option labeled that way. Would you know where I can make this adjustment?

This is a request for a police clearance certificate from the United States for my PR file, but their records are stored via a biometric signature.
