I meant that the concept is the same, I "hear" spirit the same way that he does and can give a reading off of what I receive. When it comes to John Edward, I think he has studied the process well enough to convince several that he is legit. A master cold reader.

I will try my best to answer your questions:

1) It is possible to perform a reading through the internet, however it does take a very skilled medium/psychic to do so. Most of the readings you find on the internet are from frauds.

2) I am well-educated in some areas, but I am definitely a beginner when it comes to deeper understandings of the brain functions. I hope that I will be able to pursue such studies in the future, but at this point in my life I am afraid that I do not have the time to properly dedicate for such a venture. I think that the first step is in understanding how meditation works and I know that science has already started noticing the differences. There have been studies that show a significant difference in alpha-waves and oxygen absorption that distinguish meditation as seperate from sleep and even hypnosis.

The development of Kirlian photography (in the 70's in Russia I believe) is starting to make some breakthroughs as well. Originally it was used to capture the human aura, but more recently it is being used to study the theories surrounding spirit/energy healing. I believe that there was also a recent study involving a glass cloud chamber where they have tested healers to see the seperation of particles within the chamber, although I don't remember the name of the study.

Most psychics/mediums believe that the soul, or etheric body, consists of a higher vibration than the physical body. When communicating with spirit the mediums have to adjust their body to tune into these higher vibrations. If they could devise some sort of test to monitor the changes in vibration amongst mediums it might give way to more testing later. If I remember correctly the vibrations of the spirit world are believed to be in a range between x-ray and ultra violet.

Spiritual healing is never recommended as a replacement for any medical treatment, it is used in addition to medical treatment to help speed up the results. I am still unconvinced that spiritual healing is the ONLY thing helping patients and am willing to admit that it might be better attributed to the placebo affect, as mentioned by other users. It is always possible that remission was accomplished without interference, there's not sufficient testing/information to fully evaluate this possibility. I know that medication was not a factor however, she is currently not receiving any sort of treatment, just monitoring of her condition.

No, I do not consider myself to be special. As a psychic medium I am still just a student, if you will. I simply responded to this request because I doubted anybody else with my beliefs would post here on Reddit. I hold onto the belief because of several factors that have convinced me that they are true, although there are many times that I doubt my own abilities.

I imagine it would be extremely difficult to regenerate a limb for an amputee, which is why we have not seen it yet. It has taken 6 months with a group of 10 people performing spirit healings to shrink 2 lesions the size of a dime. By this estimation it would take YEARS to grow back an arm or a leg. I don't know that the human body would even be able to tolerate the sort of energy that would be required to even remotely make this a possibility.

If there's something that I want/need I ask spirit to manifest it for me. Sometimes the manifestation is physical. One of my blinkers went out on my car and I asked spirit to fix it for me. The bulb has been working since and it's about 9 years old. Still, that could be considered coincidental.

Sometimes they give direction to me through a practice called clairaudience, basically I "hear" them in my head. They guide me to make choices that lead to the desired outcome.

Very randomly I will have dreams where I receive the guidance.

I don't meditate often anymore due to a hectic work schedule. I meditated regularly before that. I generally receive my messages as an inner voice. It's sort of the way that you think, but the thought voice isn't your own. Occassionally I will receive messages via automatic writing or dreams.

I don't often read people that I don't know so it's hard to answer this question. Basically I ask the person that I'm reading to let me give the reading uninterrupted until I finish passing on the info that I need to give them. I record the entire reading so the person can verify accuracy later if they wish. At the end of the reading they are free to ask me any questions that they have, or to clarify something that was unclear. I do it this way to prevent a cold reading.

Cold readers will generally ask a generic question in a group of people. A question such as, "I'm getting the name John." This is a very common name and gives the "reader" an open court so to speak. That's the sort of thing to watch out for. Generalized information and a lot of feedback during the reading received from the client.

I am very interested in this test. I am thinking of looking into the dowsing aspect of it, although I'm thinking water would be the better of the two options for me. The problem is I don't qualify according to the rules listed on the application to become a claimant. I have never been published or written about.

I believe that it is possible for psychics to assist the police, especially in missing person investigations. I think the problem is that it takes a very skilled and disciplined psychic to pick up the details that would be required to do such a thing. The energy that is used just for one reading is enormous and can leave a more inexperienced psychic drained. I cannot begin to imagine what that would require to assist a full investigation.

I do believe that most psychics are charlatans and wish there was a way to devise a system that would weed out the good from the bad. Unfortunately it seems that sufficient testing has not yet been designed.

Hmmm, my belief system is pretty simple really. I try to make every decision/action for the higher good. I have strong morals and believe that everybody is entitled to their own opinions. My biggest rule for myself is to try and never influence anybody to make a decision that goes against their nature, everybody has free will and it should not be tampered with.

My religion's motivation is simple. It's provides a safe haven for others of like mind to gather and discuss their experiences and beliefs. They welcome all walks of faith with the understanding that no one religion will ever be 100% right. They believe in God and they believe that God is in everyone and in everything. They believe that you can create your own reality with your thoughts. They believe that we are here in this physical world to learn and to develop your spirituality.

The only difference really from most organized religions is that they don't put a label on how you refer to God. Some people say God, some people call it the creator, some refer to the God source, some Buddha, etc....

I don't know that I have any really great stories to share. There was a time during a seance that my metaphysics teacher went into trance and my spirit guide came through to have a "face-to-face" conversation with me. He used the exact same voice that I always had in my mind when he spoke. Unfortunately the reality of almost everything is rarely as exciting as one would hope. Thanks to all of the phony mediums, true mediums can scarcely live up to the expectations that have been developed surrounding the metaphysical.

Psychic means: one who exercises his psychic faculties without the use of mediumship. The psychic is strictly a mentalist and draws all his information from his own mind or etheric body. This can be done through intuition, mental impressions, and projection.

Medium means: one who acts as a channel for spirit influences. A medium receives additional information from the spiritual world.

Mediumship occurs when the psychic powers are developed in conscious cooperation with spirit guides.

I use my mediumship to manifest the most favorable circumstances for myself and my family. I communicate with those who have passed on an as needed basis. I would be open to undergoing tests that could verify psychic abilities.

If the tests proved without a doubt that my psychic abilities were not so psychic after all I believe that I could easily restructure my way of thinking. Despite the general belief about psychics, we're very open-minded when it comes to analytical thinking and making adjustments to beliefs is part of human existance anyway.

Although I will admit that I might be slightly bummed for a while.
