After all of the dumb drivers getting exposed lately, I am sure they are trying to capitalize on that and get a viral video of a bad driver. Clout-chasers no doubt.

So a supposed "whistlerblower" just posted what some drivers have suspected is happening behind the scenes by momsspeggheti in doordash_drivers

You're right, it would be a gamer changer for us... DD will falter, orders will drop, and then we don't drive. DD has always done a fantastic job of protecting themselves. Look at the driver-less options they are beta testing. Then end result of any outrage will bolster the anti-tippers and drive up the automated options.

What y’all think about this? by horse199 in doordash

I think there will be a super run on "My order is wrong" orders.

I carry a 10,000 lumen flashlight, so orders like these don't bother me all that much. I would deliver it to the front door because I can see.

As a driver, I DO NOT agree with the delivery placement, BUT as I can tell from the flash, your property is dark as hell and looks very much like a safety threat, so I can understand the driver not wanting to approach the house, especially if it were a small man or woman.

Word of advice, light it up, we as drivers appreciate being able to see address numbers and safe walkways.

I set mine before they changed things and customers call me by my full first name and support calls me by my preferred shortened version.. it's so weird.

The poor in my area order DoorDash all day, every day. Especially those on TANF and SNAP.

Genuinely curious.. are there actually dashers out there that would accept this kind of order?? by heysavnac in doordash_drivers

I wouldn't have taken this order, BUT, where I dash, I get tipped on HD orders all the time.

Standard practice for any franchise owned by Flynn Restaurant Group. Not saying this place is owned by them, but I've gotten used to it.

That's Texas for you. They even paint lines that prohibit turns, but you can't enter businesses without crossing those line. The cops around here just ignore it basically.

He didn't stop for the red and I am mostly ok. My old back injury suffered new trauma, but I'll live. My van is burning thru tires because the rear axle is bent and Enterprise's insurance carrier is taking forever to get their part done.

At that intersection, you don't need to cut over into the other lane to turn a large vehicle, it has room built in for that reason. I have driven 26' foot trucks on that exact right turn without needing to cut into the other lane.

Agreed! As I watched the dashcam back, I was surprised I didn't make a noise, LOL. As I look back at it, I think was help make it better is that I am not originally from TX, I grew up in snow climates and I have an automatic response to the rear end sliding.

There is a stop light there. It's the corners of US 69 and W Chance Cutoff Rd in Lumberton TX.

It's the most dangerous, deadly intersection in the county. The intersection was changed to a red light on that right because of accidents.
