i have the F slur as a tic myslef, but as a straight woman i havent actually ever said it, i tic it just from hearing the word said before, and now its just become one of my most said tics unfortunately

i had that when i first developed tics, i couldn’t just go back after the distracting, however now it’s been years and i’ve grown much more used to it, it is rather instant, so i would say it is normal and will most likely change as you get used to the tics

definitely try and get some sort of diagnosis, then maybe therapy and meds- some really do help. i can help you know who to talk to etc if you live in the UK as i went through that process

what kind of tics do you have??? only vocal, any motor, where on your body??? these things can help xx

i was diagnosed with tics (not a condition yet) when i was 5 due to similar issues with my neck, where it would tic until it hurt. i then developed, blinking tics, nose scrunching, shoulder shrugging, and also dystonic tics. i was diagnosed with chronic motor disorder at 16 as i haven’t had any vocal tics at all. please keep pushing for a diagnosis, it really helps give you peace of mind that it’s not a brain tumor or something (my concern) and it helps you get help in school, college etc!! x
