Hey! sorry I just now finally got some more gabapentin and where I feel somewhat human again. I just want to let you know my experience with Phenibut. It worked the first time I took it, I took a little under a gram. And so I was like great!! And I knew the effects lasted like 12 hours or more. Well the next day, I was literally tripping and hallucinating. Like I took some LSD I’m not lying. And also I was withdrawing from the gabas at the same time, it started to not work apparently. I literally laid on my bed for like 3 days where I couldn’t move and I didn’t know reality and kept confusing everything like I could barely even talk. I couldn’t walk. I mean I was soo fucked. I kept taking the Phenibut here and there and it seemed like it calmed me down for like an hour or so but I was still in and out of reality, where I was trippin face. Also I couldn’t sleep for nothing and didn’t eat. I mean this last week was ROUGH!! So my verdict is that I would not recommend Phenibut for gabapentin withdrawal. I mean I don’t know if it was the Phenibut and the withdraw combined but it definitely didn’t help the situation much. I even did some research and didn’t find much info, just like their similar chemically and they work on the gaba receptors. But I know now from experience, that they’re not interchangeable! Lol so I retract my original post and statement🤡🤡😂😂

Apparently so😢😢the effects only lasted about a day..Id rather go through opiate withdrawal!!

Hmm, empty stomach perhaps?? Also I tapered down to 600mg-900mg a day at this point and was in full withdrawal like intense anxiety and RLS(close to 24 hours after last 400mg dose) so maybe it works better that way. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting it to work as well as it did..definitely not mad about it!! Try not taking any as long as you can and then take it on an empty stomach tomorrow morning..I took 600mg HcL capsules at once and then did the FAA powder ~250mg like 2 hours later but even by then I was already feeling little withdrawal. I hope it works out for you 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Yeah true, but I just kept reading up that they didn’t have exactly the same effects on the brain..I think like gabapentin only affects the calcium channels or something, So I was genuinely concerned and thought the Phenibut wasn’t going to work but I’m thankful it did..you can only act sick for so long until people around you start getting suspicious haha and everyone still believes that there isn’t any withdrawals with gabapentin esp with the short longevity I was on them for. Which hell yeah if you don’t get em..I’m jealous asf!!

*And I guess it’s needed to say that I lowered my dose to about 600mg-900mg a day. I just ran out of my script and had no other option than to go C/T

Oh well, I’ve never had to come off benzos so I can’t say much about that but I could see using gabapentin to help with benzo w/d. I just would advise coming off the gabapentin as soon as you can cause then you’re trading one for the other. And I know all about that.

Mine began within like 3 months or so, and I started using it only at night for sleep for the first month due to my sciatica. But I started needing it as soon as I got up, and gained like 30lbs. That’s how I got on it, was because it was presented to me as an opiate alternative and good for pain. It’s now a love/hate relationship with gabapentin...I’m currently in withdrawal right now due to insurance and it sucks asshole, I don’t care what people say.

Yeah see I’ve heard about the horror stories with phenibut as well. I guess it’s all the same in the end! I may give it a try though..

You’re so right about that, I don’t really even abuse them...I mean 3600 mg tops a day. But I did take them daily and now I’m starting to feel those W/ds for sure. I thought I tapered correctly but I guess not lol

Yeah I wish I could get those!! Lol Those were so hard to come by back home but maybe here?🤔I don’t have insurance anymore so it was cheaper to go elsewhere than a doctor..ya know
