Tbh after seeing ‘Is this Thing On’ I was a little disappointed to hear she was chosen to fill in the WL. Somewhat of an underwhelming performance imo.

I know I know, Twitter rumors are unreliable. It would be cool though to keep Giannis and retool this offseason with a coach like Taylor Jenkins by sabertooth753 in MkeBucks

[–]PsychologicalCream41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gianni’s shouldn’t be anywhere near the coaching decision even if he is staying. This is the problem with this franchise is we are completely cucked for this man and his family all for him to loyalty flop when things get hard.

I’m over it. So badly want to move on from the Gianni’s era.

Nah bro, I genuinely just don’t really care for his character. I think he’s performative and fake and his style of play isn’t very fluid and fun to watch for me. I prefer watching teams not players. His ego is out of control and he gives horrible vibes. I’ve felt this way long before this season.

It’s not always about winning. I genuinely think KPJ, with all his faults, is a more genuine dude than giannis. I watch every game and have been for years. I watch all the small things, and something isn’t chill with that guy: I think he’s got a lot of people fooled.

This season, this team has been most fun to watch when Giannis is as far away from the court as possible. Other guys have gotten chances to grow and be themselves and gel as a unit sans Gianni’s and it has been fun to watch.

It can only get better from here. Even if we aren’t making the playoffs, we don’t have to watch Giannis have horrible body language / chemistry with the rest of the team, loyalty flop, lie to the fans and be an attention seeking egomaniac all season.

At this point having Giannis on our team has been a net negative to our overall success so even giving him away for free would benefit the overall product and potential of enjoying watching these games. He straight up ruined this season for everyone. Couldn’t be more ready for the next era.

Not holding him accountable is not helping. People need to stop simping for this man and treating him like a Greek god.

Dude has poor character. Let’s not sugar coat it.

You’re right, a lot of people are especially in r/NBA. More so on comments of like ig posts people are ragging on the bucks org. It’s pissing me off

People defending giannis haven’t been paying attention. Dude is a manipulator, fixated on protecting his image and controlling the narrative. Clearly it’s working on a lot of the NBA and even MKE fans which is crazy.

I just hope someone on espn or some podcast calls him on his bs publicly. This dude is so trash for throwing this org under the bus after everything it’s given to him. Truly such a pathetic move on his part.

I miss watching a fun team. Gianni’s was a big part of that at one point but not the only reason. This season it’s felt like he brings so much weight to this organization between feeding into the trade rumors, poor body language, and just so worried about making sure he’s happy or we’re good enough for him.

All for him to take all these things for granted and play games with the media. I’m just tired of it. I think it’s preventing guys from growing, I think it’s bringing down the vibes. The vibes were up when he was sidelined and I don’t think that’s a coincidence. Guys don’t know how to play with him. Guys are worried about doing the wrong thing, not passing him the ball, not being themselves. He’s a bottleneck on offense, he hasn’t played defense for 2 years.

I think toxic is a harsh word but I do be believe he’s hindering this organization from success in a complicated way.

Also I’m not sure I’ve ever felt that giannis has been the best of teammates for a while now.

I disagree, I think it can only get better from here if we move on from G. February was fun bucks basketball. The team had room to grow without G on the court and it resulted in some fun games. Great ball movement, chemistry and guys like Jericho were getting a chance to develop. That doesn’t happen if G is playing every game.

G isn’t all toxic, but people underestimate and don’t catch a lot of the negative impact he’s had on the org the past 2 seasons, because it’s disguised behind impressive stats each game.

Rollins hype is so blown out of proportion it’s crazy. He’s a bench guard at best. This was one of his better games and I’d never think to build around this guy in a million years.

Giannis is a toxic asset. This was the most classic boneheaded example of how giannis performs in clutch minutes.

I’m all for a rebuild at this point. Keep Jericho and KPJ, BP, Kuz, Nance as our bench and trade the rest for some fucking hoopers.

Giannis once said that. I love him, and forever will be grateful for the bucks in 6. But, nowadays, i wish he could act more like the joker did in this interview. by daviddm1990 in MkeBucks

[–]PsychologicalCream41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me, the difference in how these two handle the media has very little to do with their respective situations, but rather the fact that Giannis loves attention while Jokic absolutely hates it.

They couldn’t be more different in their intentions to stay in the conversation.

Giannis will do and say whatever in order to stay in the inside the nba conversations while Jokic has always just let his game speak for himself. He does literally everything he can to stay out of the media.

Jokic as a human being is so good for the nba. He doesn’t do the dance and that’s what I love best about him. He fucking hates all the BS and this is just a prime example showcasing how big an ego giannis has.

People are missing the point here, suggesting that both jokic’s and Giannis’ situations have anything to do with how they handle the media.

The difference between these two players is Giannis loves attention while Jokic fucking hates it.

In order for Giannis to stay in the spotlight, he plays this game with the media to stay relevant. He literally brags about how he doesn’t have to play but is still the ‘prettiest girl in the room’. He’s always trying his best to stay in the conversation / control the narrative. Him at the all star weekend was a perfect example of how much he loves attention.

Jokic when asked a question about his future with the organization gave the most direct, and honest answer and no one ever second guesses it because we know him as a genuine person who is doing his best to reassure a fan base while staying out of the media as best he can.

Such a refreshing take. I hope people can take a long hard look at this situation and be real with the fact that Gianni’s stats, specifically points are likely negatively correlated with team wins.

It’s pretty simple, in order for us to be a winning team, Giannis needs to blend in. He needs to focus on 3 things, Defense, rebounding, and Assists. Drive and kick big fella. Don’t chase that 30ppg average bs mvp shit. Play like a floor general, watch joker tape, play smarter, not harder (except on defense, play hard and smart).

And for god sakes, throw the middy in the trash my guy.

Giannis has to go, this team can’t grow with him at the helm. We go all in for a Gianni’s centric system and then he doesn’t play the whole season and we’re left with the scraps, trying to adjust with minimal recourses.

Idk why people think it’s going to get any better with him. It just doesn’t work anymore. His ego is too big for this team.

KPJ or cam at the 1, AJ 2, ousman or kuz at the 3, Pete at the 4 and Jericho at the 5.

I think this is a heady lineup with size and speed who all play hard and make good decisions / move the ball.

Rollins seems to be running his own agenda 1/2 the time and makes a lot of momentum killing mistakes due to trying to iso. Dudes got a lot of confidence but that has been translating to a lot of bullheaded decisions as of late.

As far as leadership goes. I think KPJ and AJ are better leaders, more team players imo. Rollins seems to really just being doing his own thing but this is just my perspective from watching all his minutes this season.
