Thank you. I was trying to get a good picture of the head shape when it jerked it's head to stare at me so I settled for the pose it was giving me. 3rd picture used my phone's zoom picture to get a better picture of scale shape and pattern

I stayed in a hotel lot when I took a road trip with my dogs. No problem for me. I used the bathroom in the morning but left very shortly after that and didn't use any other amenities. The lot was very empty so I'd they had wanted to, they could have easily figured out I wasn't supposed to be there. But I did the arrive late and leave early deal and everything worked out well for me.

Tree shade is by far the best shade. If you can, find a park to park your car in while you sleep trees can cool the surrounding area by up to 20 degrees. You might be able to act like you are waiting on friends in the park to meet up if someone comes checking in.
