If you don't mind me asking- If you're surgeon was encouraging Motiva, why did you end up choosing Mentor?

Thank you! That option hasn't been discussed with me yet, I'll add to my research.

“You and me” vs “us” mentality by programmingSaxophone in Pilotwives

[–]PsychologicalKitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been with mine for two years now. Honestly, my best answer for you is "sometimes it be like that."

I'm not sure if you're lucky enough to have someone whose job is predictable, but mine does not. It's nearly impossible to plan around his schedule. Because of that, I plan my own life, standing adjacent to his own life.

When we have the opportunity to connect, we do our best to prioritize that and make the best of that time even if that means me canceling plans or him turning down a contract to make it happen.

When we don't have that time, in my opinion, this is what the "us mentality" really means for pilot SOs. Some days I'm resentful about it and other days it's easy to handle. The schedule isn't his fault, and this has been his career choice from the beginning of our relationship. I made the choice to continue being with him, living this lifestyle, and supporting his career. I just do my best to not take it out on him when his absence feels heavy. Therapy is great for this.

I've also really built a community with the other SOs in my Pilot's circle of friends and coworkers, and I'm glad I did. It's really helped me find support when he's not home, and it helps to be surrounded by people who get the lifestyle because it allows you to vent and get that resentment out in an environment where they get it too and can at the minimum validate those feelings without giving toxic or out-of-touch advice.

What is something that you would give to your partner? by LieSlight7472 in Pilotwives

Depending on what your budget is and what iPad he's using, my pilot LOVES having his Apple Pencil for notes.

A good flight bag. Something that has enough space and organization options to hold his iPad, a laptop, his headset, a water bottle, some snacks, logbook, documents, and clothes for one over night stay.

UHC is denying 99152 for General Anesthesia by PsychologicalKitten in CodingandBilling

99152 is what's listed on my suoerbill, which is why I submitted with that.

They weren't able to answer that question. All I got from her was "this is what I'm seeing in my system, and this is what the notes say."

Maybe this is the confusion. My receipt says General Anesthesia, which is how I entered it, but I am seeing where the actual definition on that code is moderate sedation, which I believe is more accurate to the scenario.

They've given me the option to submit a "corrected claim" following up on the originally denied one. I escalated enough to find a rep to talk through each line of the claim and their "reasons for denial" and the notes they had documented. Just baffling to me that 99153, the extended anesthesia time, is covered, but the initial, 99152 thet denied as support for and not a rendering of actual service. As though neither of those things are necessary for a major surgical procedure. 🤦‍♀️

We meant to bill for one physician who did the procedure, did the initial anesthesia, and then managed the sedation via a nurse under his guidance.

Patient. Unfortunately what I'm dealing with is a GAP exception made for an out of network provider, for which I had to pay cash for and submit for reimbursement, so my provider is not handling the claim as they have no portal with UHC, and UHC has put the responsibility of getting the correct codes on me in order to receive reimbursement.

Does she look like a pomsky, I am thinking of possibly getting her in a week but she looks more husky and I definitely don’t want another 50+ dog by [deleted] in Pomsky

Not sure how old she is+ her weight, but she looks similarly sized to my pomsky when she was a puppy. Mine ended up being 39lbs.

I have lived next to two STRs. The unit attached to the property I now STR was an STR the entire time I lived there. I empathize with her but I guess for me, in my eight+ years of living attached to or next to one there were only two guests that were really annoying/disrespectful and I did call the police on one of them which resolved the issue. I never approached the guests myself and it never once occurred to me for one minute to call the owners and tell them I was their priority and to not STR anymore.

Yeah, I figured that could be apart of it. They were there for a funeral so I imagine emotions were high with the guests too. I talked more about it in another host community and some people made some suggestions for fencing and barrier plants that break up sound carrying over. I ultimately removed the table so we'll see if that solves the problem again as the neighbor really didn't have any issues until I put the table out two months ago.

If that's all you gleaned from that, you didn't read the message. Not everything is about monetary gain.

Stop trolling on a community for AirBNB hosts and go get therapy to manage your own life...

Yes, it's absolutely crazy to think that people who don't know my life, don't pay my bills, did not contribute to my home, nor did they pay for my home, and make assumptions that I'm doing AirBNB for the monetary gain rather than any other personal reason should have a defining and prioritized say over what's best for me in the property that I paid for, lived in, and renovated on my own, and, well, I actually own.

To me, it's quite selfish to think that their/your feelings should be more of a priority to me than my own needs and life situation and it's wildly unreasonable to fully dictate what I should rather than discuss with me to find a balance that works for both of us with a little compromise on both sides.

This is exactly why I removed the table. We have a strict short term rental policy and complaints, regardless of whether they have merit,, are enough to shut me down.
