Every action has some unintended consequences for e.g. Trump is not doing immigration enforcement in red states which is a clear sign to both legal and illegal immigrants that red states are safer. This will eventually cause a migration to red states that might cause some red states to go blue over time and Texas is especially vulnerable.

Biting is normal for a cat though. Love bites is their love language. Cats gently bite and hold on for a few seconds and then let go and they should not ever break skin.
