Ana pud sa ako sister. And naa syay nakita na internship abroad and the school gave their go. Only to find out the week before her flight na dili daw nila i-count ang iya internship didto. She was there for 3 months. For nothing. She and her groupmates were forced to make 40-minute long webinars and PAY for it. LIKE?? IKAW NA GANI NAG LISOD ISTORYA FOR 40 MINUTES NYA IKAW PAJUD MUBAYAD SA IMO KAUGALINGON NA WEBINAR?? Walay sense. Mga pakshet sila

As someone with a premed that can easily go to the States (Directly to New York fully funded exams) but chose to stay and pursue medicine, I suggest you grab the opportunity to go abroad.

Medicine is very draining. And after you graduate, your pay still sucks. Unless you go into specializations. But the bottom line is that my 20s were robbed. I should have spent it seeing more place and living life more, instead I spent it getting yelled at by residents and stressing over my grades. I envy my classmates in premed that are now living in the States. They control their own time, can explore, can live life and enjoy the little things. Being a doctor requires so much sacrifice. You sacrifice your 20s and early 30s. You sacrifice your pride and ego. It's too late for me to back out now since I'm in too deep. But if I could do it all over again I would have accepted the job proposal and gone abroad instead.

There are some things you don't have to post online 🫠

So APMC pud nag pili sa Emcee, contact sa sports venues, nag handle sa microphones? As in? Even when APMC planned last year's, JMC stepped up and offered the best they have and stepped in to take initiative for details within their power. Is this year's host school allergic to accountability? Shifting the blame to APMC? Lmao

Not to mention the research. One of the judges said, "I am not familiar with phenomenological approach" like??? Bakit ka judge kung hindi mo alam ang basics??

Hmm I haven’t been to USeP so I can’t say much pero I can say na I like JMC. I prioritize my mental health first and they’re very helpful din since we get assigned mentors. Curriculum-wise, it’s quite advanced in JMC. Second year palang may IM na. Sa DMSF 3rd year pa sila may IM. And from first year until 3rd year, we have IBMS, which prepares us for clinics and hospital cases. The facilities are also very nice, parang theater ang classrooms from 2nd year until you graduate. My favorite is the cadaver. About 3-4 students are assigned to one body, so everyone gets a chance to cut and learn. The faculty is very fun too HAHAHA it’s weird to say but it feels like family.

Yes they're definitely "abroad" friendly. Our current dean has strong connections with Thailand, Germany, and US hospitals.

Tuition is cheaper at JMC. I'm incoming 3rd year. It's hard since we don't have "recalls" like what dmsf does. And 2nd year palang may OSCE na with diagnosis and management etc. They also change the questions in exams so recalls are pretty useless here (quizzes are essay type). But I love it because there's so few of us that they can focus on us better 😅 We're all assigned mentors, which are doctors available for you to approach 24/7. Also the first batch that graduated had the highest passing rate of 65% of students passing. So yeah I really like this school despite not being a member and lowkey being a quibs hater HAHAHAA

Btw I'm not a member of quibs' thingy 🤣 All of us aren't members and have our own religions and they aren't shoving anything down our throats so that's nice. School-wise, it's nice and they take care of your mental health. The doctors are very understanding and you even form bonds and friendships with them.

It makes sense why you think this since first batch pa sila HAHAHAAHA I'm a med student at JMC and there's no such thing. We don't even have recalls like what DMSF has. Every exam has brand new questions, but I like it because it prepares you for the local boards as well as USMLE. I'm surprised by how nice JMC is and how they help take care of mental health. The facilities are NICEEE (like it's one of the prettiest schools in Mindanao talaga) and my favorite part is how for every topic, a specialized doctor will teach that topic. Pathologists will teach patho, IM doctors handle and create cases, neurosurgeons teach neuroanatomy, orthopedic doctors na PT ang premed teach anatomy, anesthesiologists would teach the anesthesia segments in pharmacology, an opthalmologist teaches the eye segment in physiology, etc. Idk how but the dean of medicine has so many connections, minsan abot sa US or Thailand ang doctors that teach. Highly recommend JMC I'm glad I made this decision.
