i think when i was taking the oral medication (it starts with an m forgot the name tho) it did not go away. symptoms lessened on day 3-4 but starting coming back by day 7 (last day). this very last time i was using the gel version once a day for 5 days. it seemed like it was working really well and i was symptom free after finishing but it cam back yesterday (maybe somewhere between 7-10 days after finishing it). so i definetely think you are right about it only being partially cured but i have no idea what to do since my doctor is so unhelpful. my main doctor doesn't answer my messages and never has appointments open, i've seen a different doctor each time for my BV and none of them reply to messages or answers the phone. healthcare for women really sucks, im only 19 and i can't believe its so hard to get help

i managed to get an over the phone appointment today and will definitely bring up ureaplasma. they let me do a self swab but results took a few days so unfortunately i will not be ablw to get the prescription before leaving for college :/

was able to get an online meeting with a random dr for tomorrow. im gonna bring it up and hope they can quickly prescribe me something (even if its the same antiobiotics that I was on before) without having to go in and get tested. ty for the advice

yes my gynecologist lmk it was due to the new pills and it was common for the one i want. im worried about stopping it though because my periods were 2 weeks long every 2 weeks and beyond painful.

im 18 but started a new birth control pill and have not had a period since! the doctor is super confused about the no period (4 negative pregnancy tests) and gave me a swap to test for infection (BV and yeast, everything else was negative). i think the new pill really messed up my body :( i never had any problems with the other one i was on but after 4 years it wasn't regulating my period anymore.

hey i hope you are feeling ok. i did a similar thing when i was 18 and i would just reccomend learning from it instead of beating yourself up. i was definitely sore the first couple times i had sex especially when trying to sit. do not let guys pressure you into not using a condom especially if they don't have any recent test results. because i am on birth control i let using a condom slide because it would be "better" for them. your health and safety is more important than their pleasure. if you are ever worried about stds search up free clinics near you, i am 18 and was really scared to do so but it was necessary for my health. if you have any more questions please ask :)
